  Are YOU Shunned By Jehovah's Witnesses At All?

  some witnesses speak to me quite normally/.

  others avoid me like the plague.. how are you treated by the witnesses?.

  Some shun me but others, usually the younger ones, still invite my husband and over. And my husband's never been a witness. They usually invite us to the next meeting, but we're always busy

  today my 15 year old daughterand i went to the local craft fair, went to olive garden for lunch, then ran over to ross to shop a little, and as we were walking out of the store, low and behold, who was coming straight at us??.

  ) she was headed straight toward us.

  Lady Liberty, I've been thinking about your situation for a while, and my suggestion would be for your daughter to tell her grandmother how her actions made her feel horrible. As you said, your daughter is not baptized- why is she being punished?

  Any action taken by you will probably be discounted since you're disfellowshipped. But a heart-wrenching card from your daughter to Mean Grandma that starts with, "I don't know what I did to make you hate me, Grandma" and ends with, "At least my other Grandma loves me and shows it" might give her the slap in the face that she richly deserves.

  Why didn't they just say, "Learning hurt brain!" in their best Tarzan voice? Isn't that basically what the WTS teaches? Don't go to college, don't research anything, don't think for yourself, etc.

  hey!.

  i have tried to debate evolution/ark a couple of times with witnesses.

  two of these were elders, and one had the benefit of conversing with me over mail; he also showed an interest and knowledge on some scientific subjects that told me he had studied it a bit by himself.

  bohm, the new metal_floss magazine has an article about the chimp/human chromosome difference that goes along with that link. It also talks about how our mitochondria used to be bacteria that gave up independance to survive in our cells. It's an interesting magazine- you should check it out.
