In the US, it was known as Final Fantasy 3. A lot of people consider it the best of all FF games.
Celes and the Opera House was one of my favorite parts of the game!

Sept.15th WT - WT Society uses Guilt & Fear to Avoid Friendship & Internet
by flipper inonce again my wife and i were sent the " witness only " wt version by our lurking jw friend that they study at wt study meetings.
and once again wt society is showing very controlling tendencies towards it's jw members.. do any of you remember the " old days " in the 1970's or early 1980's when witnesses used to have goody night after book study ?
or you would have a " potluck picnic " with about 30 to 40 people getting to know one another to draw close as friends outside the confines of the kingdom hall ?

Growing up, my parents had people (about 10 to 20) over at least twice a month. Us kids would invite our friends and my parents would invite a mix of people- those viewed as "spiritually weak" because it would encourage them, some "national average" families, and usually an elder's family (the friendlier elders, not the jerks). I'm pretty sure that every person at the Hall was invited, at least once.
The congregation also had picnics and played volleyball, two-hand-touch football, and baseball.
I don't hear about the congregation having those any more. Anytime my mom mentions a get-together it's for a reason- wedding, graduation, anniversary, but nothing just for fun. They also don't invite a lot of people over after my dad got chewed out about a young couple eloping. (The couple did not do anything at my parents place, but they had both been there once. Yeah, I don't get it either.)
On the weekends, there's a couple at the Hall that invite my husband and I over for dinner and card games (Ok, we gossip too). I hadn't really thought about it, but it's usually just the 4 of us. I think it says a lot about the state of socializing at the Hall when an MS and his wife socialize more with the inactive non-baptized chick (me) and her worldly husband than with fellow Witnesses!

If you have no problem with the pill or the shot, then you shouldn't have a problem with the morning after pill.
In layman's terms, the morning after pill triggers your period to start, just like the last week of your regular birth control pill. Any possible fertilized egg should be unable to implant in your uterus.
And Zid is right, it can take a while for fertilization to occur.

being so raised, i was very serious about the truth as a youngster.

Welcome to the board! I agree that reading other people's stories has helped me out. I realized that it's not me, it's the Witnesses.

Quillsky, I think what people want is to know that people at the hall still care for them. If some of my old "friends" from the hall stopped to visit, I would be touched that they still cared and thought about me.
On the other hand, since they don't stop by to visit, I also don't get "encouragement" to go back to meeting.

What's the biggest lie/rumor that has ever been told about YOU?
by VampireDCLXV inmost of us here know what a hypocritical, backstabbing bunch of gossips many of the jw's tend to be.
far too often, a jw wont tell you to your face what's eating them, but they'll sure tell others.
when i started waking up (the second time around) this made me very paranoid.

My sister and I managed to turn the tables on one family that was the local gossip mongerers.
The daughter was my brother's age and didn't want to have the congregation graduation party with him because he wasn't "spiritual enough". But that wasn't all; she constantly went around talking about how she didn't like him, he was ugly (he's not), etc. She ran him down a lot and did it in front of my sister and I. My sister and I agreed that no one gets to pick on our brother but US!
So when people our age would tell us about what this b!tch was saying, we responded with, "Yeah, she had a crush on him and was hitting on him. When he told her "No way", she decided to get back at him." Of course, it was believable and spread around and she stopped slamming him when people started telling her to stop picking on him just because he wasn't attracted to her.
The best part was that my brother had no idea that we did that. When we told him a few years ago, he got the biggest smirk on his face! Hee hee!

I liked her comment about how she was not giving up on God, but on organised religion.
