Are you sure leaving the JW religion has made your life better?. Lurkers think twice
by mankkeli inon this forum, i have carefully read most of the experiences of those who left the jw religion, i have even read experiences that have dated back to 2001, i have read the different circumstances surrounding their exits and what ensued upon leaving.
for the majority, i observed they are better remainning in the religion than leaving.
what benefit is there to strain family relationship because you want to be free?, please tell me, of what value is that freedom?,.

Exposure to the Watchtower has the unintended effect of letting you see to what extent religions are men made. So I think that I could believe in a God if he/she (apologies to Ziddina) appeared one day, but not just to me but to everyone, and made things that were entirely verifiable. That could help. Seeing would be believing.

Absolute knowledge vs. Relativism
by Vidqun inbelieving in a god is a leap of faith.
being an atheist is also a leap of faith, and that goes for the evolutionists too.
i believe in absolute truth as found in the bible.

Entirely Possible: I agree. Apple is overpriced and then you're in a cage. The Galaxy Tab seems the much better option.

Victoria, Australia: Report on Oct. 11th hearing involving Steven Unthank
by AndersonsInfo invictoria, australia: report on oct. 11th hearing involving steven unthank.
(this report is from an anonymous xjw who attended the hearing.
i had no plans to turn up to the court hearing as an observer, as in my experience, it can take several hearings and a number of months before any court case gets rolling.

While we wait for eternal destruction, anyone here would prefer the Samsung Galaxy Tab over an iPad?

Harold Camping apologizes about getting the end of the world date wrong.

At the very least, Mr Camping is creative. He had the chronology right; that guy YHWH decided to change his mind! In one simple movement of his hand, Mr Camping implies that God is an unreliable fellow who took great pains to leave us His Word (ie, the Bible) and then changed his mind for unknown reasons.
This is one trick that was not in the book! Great!

You are right, botchtower: He blamed God.
"Why didn't Christ return on Oct. 21?" asked Camping in an audio message posted on the Family Radio website Oct. 28. "It seems embarrassing for Family Radio, but God was in charge of everything. We came to that conclusion after quite careful study of the Bible...There is one thing we must remember, God is in charge of this whole business and we are not, what God wants to tell us is his business, when he wants to tell us is his business."
Throughout the message, Camping never seems to fault himself for the failed prediction, but instead attributes the world not ending to the fact that it is ultimately up to God to bring Judgment Day forth.
The International Business Times observes, "It seems as if maybe Camping's statement is less an apology and more of a point-the-finger at God defense. Camping more or less blames God for his failed predictions, since He was the one 'in charge of everything.' "
