  BIG talk with teenage son today

  yesterday i got to ask my kids what they thought of the convention they just had.

  response was 'really good'.

  daughter liked the drama but could not say why or what the lesson was... so i figure she liked it because it was more interesting than the regular talks.

  Baptism & Blood Cards

  hi all.. (unfortunately) my step-daughter will be getting baptised in a few weeks.. as she knows i am strongly against this she will not discuss any of the procedures etc.

  with me.. could someone fill me in as to what the actual procedure is?.

  also what happens about the "blood card" she has to carry, is this given once baptised or would she already have one....again this is a sore point between us........she is only 17..... is this card legally binding as she is officially a minor?.

  Anyone know any specifics about UK law and the Blood Card - particularly as she is only 17 - has there been any instances were this has been an issue?

  Could her mother or (biological)father (He has parental responsibility), make her take blood if an emergency required it!?!

  here's 3 easy points that disprove all of their nonsense.. 1) australia proves evolution happened - what's the one country in the world with the weirdest animals on earth?

  don't know if anyone has seen this....... .

  biblical creation vs darwinism vs young earth "creationism" - "remain close to jehovah" - youtube video posted by a jw from the recent convention.. it might just be me, but in the middle section does the guy say that jws should seek out knowledge.

  and then say that jehovah has given them all the knowledge they need in awake magazines.. not much seeking required there.....try going to library......ooops forgot... they would find out the real truth then!!.

  as you will see, the writers are banking on this, but it is not a good thing to trust the wtbts writers.

  please find the bibliography worked out for quotes 38-51, covering the heading "what about human evolution".. interesting is that many quotes are from the [u]preface[/u] of books, where the authors honestly explain the difficulties and assumptions related to evolutionary science..   JWs in UK appealing for charity donations for beds

  while the watchtower leaders smugly bury their glorious leaders and eulogise about their dedication to jehovah i.e.

  watchtower publishing company , their brothers and sisters of the lower order in the uk are begging for charitable donations through the jah jireh care home home site.. it seems as if some of the millions who will never die are now doing just that and are in need of urgent help because armageddon or cloud cuckoo land as it is known to the sane, refuses to show up.. maybe the past w/t presidents who have reached their sell by dates residing in the heavenly realm can speed things up a little.. if you would like to make a donation go to the jah jireh website and check out the latest news..

  Having nothing better to do at the moment I have just looked at their latest accounts on the charities commision website.

  This charity current has assets of approaching £9.4 million, however they have mortgages and loans totalling £6.8 million and have lost money as a charity of approx. £45,000.

  This is why they are asking for donations........they have no money!!!

  It should also be noted that this is not a free service for the aged JWs.

  They are charged for staying there, it is only a few "beds" that are free!!

  The last set of account reveal that they raised over £3 million in cash from charging their residents for their care....very charitable!!

  PS Mexico 2 - France 0 ........ joy for an Englishman!!
