"Life" Brochures: 3 Easy Disproofs

It may be time consuming and exhausting to correct all of the deceptions, half-truths and out of context quotes contained in the Watchtower's new brochures, so I'll make it simple. Here's 3 easy points that disprove all of their nonsense.

1) Australia proves evolution happened - what's the one country in the world with the weirdest animals on earth? Australia! It is isolated and cut off by large bodies of water. Home to Koala 'bears', kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, platypuses, and other weird stuff that developed on its own, apart from all the normal critters everywhere else. Actually, Madagascar has a lot of weird, unique animals, too and they are a huge, isolated island also. Evolution? Well, duh!

2) "Rare" fossils are still fossils. -Sorry, Watchtower , just because missing link/intermediate fossils are relatively rare doesn't mean they didn't (or don't) exist. Some isn't none! The Chinese currently seem to be digging up lots of "feathered dragons" - fossils that show a link between dinosaurs and birds. Looks like a reptile skeleton with teeth and feathers. And humans? Yes, there are complete skulls that look like something between a human and an animal.

3) Jehovah is Doctor Frankenstein - the whole "Design = God the Creator" fails because it utterly ignores MONSTERS !! So, the Creator designed 30 foot Crocodiles, and Tyrannosaurus Rex and Velociraptors and Horrible Guinea Worms and the Ichneumon Wasp and the Amazing Mosquito - which has a Divine Ability to inject an anti-coagulant and an anesthetic to successfully suck your blood. Wow! What evidence of a Loving Creator!

God as a system of Pantheism is OK by me, but a personal Creator who thought up this wild kingdom of teeth and claws is ridiculous.

Thanks for sharing your three, Meta. My three are:

1) If everything had to be created, who created God? If "God has always existed", isn't it simple enough to conclude that matter and life have always existed?

2) If evolution is impossible and all life and species were individually created, what does that mean for the account of the Noachian flood and the evidence we see in all the species of life on earth today? Technically, whatever life would have been created at the time of Adam is meaningless because all life in existance today would date from what animals were aboard Noah's ark, in Turkey, 4000 years ago. Much like your #1 about Australia, how did the kangaroos and koalas get from Noah's ark in Turkey all the way to Australia? Were there a dozen of species of bears on the ark, or did all the species of bears around the world today evolve from representatives of a singular bear family species?

3) I certainly agree with your #3, why did God create mosquites? Why do so many animals violently kill and eat other animals? If animals all ate vegetation before the flood, why did God tell Cain that sin (like a predatory animal) was crouching in wait, craving him? Creation teaches us that the creator must really like gore and death.

By the way, where again do JWs get the idea it was originally vegetaton that they ate?

(That scripture you mentioned about sin crouching just kills me. Ha!)

Seriously, if these animals, such as kangaroos came out of the Ark, surely there would be evidence of them living in Turkey and surrounding area for thousands of years before.

St George - from what I gather according to WT 'reasoning', after the flood the kangaroos must have bounded non-stop to Australia which was just an area of land that was breaking off from a bigger continent. Of course Koalas and platypuses couldn't move as quickly so the kangaroos must have given them a lift in their pouches

After land surfaced, the gradual process of flood waters subsiding in Noah's day means in effect, Australia wasn't necessarily isolated and animals migrated to climates they are best suited for. Human habitation of Australia is said to have begun with the migration of people by land bridges and short sea-crossings from what is now Southeast Asia.

You can say this about any island. There certainly could have been a connecting point for the migration of animal life before the flood waters subsided in Noah's day, associated geographic climate changes and the current state of geography that exists thousands of years later.

But of course it was just these odd examples that did so. And for some reason other more common chose not to to there. Of course anyone that wishes to believe the noachin flood could argue that just like god could gather all the animals for the trip on the ark he could have chosen to send or cause these species to go to australia. It's like the load of literature being smuggled into some country that forbids it being blown up being time and unforseen occurence but if it makes it through it is because of the prayers asking for jehobah's protection.
