told my parents to never ever tell me they love me again....
by oompa in...i told them in a very serious sitdown in their living room....said..."because if you cant show it then it does not count...that is not real love no matter who tells you it is....because it is how it makes me feel that determines if it is love....not if you just say it...and me and my sons do not feel that love at all now"....and i stayed calm and talked slowly and barely shed a tear as i held them back...and i had asked them to not say a word but just listen...dad said they would as long as it was not about religion as i knew he would.
this was two of the worst days of my life in a row..i told them the pain me and my boys feel from their shunning is worse than if they had died...that then i could grieve naturally and move on because that is normal....grief helps you cope...my grief is different because they choose to act like i am dead and normal grief does not seem to work on that.
i shared an epiphany with them i had about mens rules vs gods great idea of dna (but no i am not sure about a god anymore)it went kinda like this:.

That is great that you took matters into your own hands. Telling your parents how you feel gives you strength. So often we just sit back and take whatever the WTBS has told our loved ones to dish out to us. You did not portray yourself as a crying little boy begging for their attention. You stood up like a man and told them the consequence of their actions to you. It is doubtful that they will change their minds, but you have every right to tell them how you feel. I am very proud of you.

Can you relate to this comment from a ex jw ? I can
by Hairyhegoat inas a former jehovahs witness (20 years) and as someone who auxiliary pioneered several months every year for half the time i was involved in that organization, i know for a fact that most jws actively pray for the destruction of most worldly people.
if you really think about it, its a warped, awful and sick mentality.
oh boy i cant wait for the vast majority of people on this planet to die by gods hand because they dont believe what i believe!!

A similar mentality occurs at assemblies when the speaker says something to the effect of "won't we all rejoice when God destroys this old system and wicked mankind". Then everyone claps joyously. They are really clapping about the death of their neighbors, their co-workers, their non-witness family, you, me, etc. That always seemed a bit heartless to me.

Why is sex suddenly pure and holy after you receive a marriage certificate?
by doubtful in...but gross and detestable any time before marriage.
if a witness couple who are engaged to one another, decide to express their love toward each other by engaging in sexual intercourse just weeks or even days before they're officially married, they are considered to be loathsome, unclean people.
the witness girl would be seen by others in the hall as a dirty little whore...and the guy would just be thought of as a horny young man who couldn't keep it in his pants.

I am not a big fan of marriage, but legal marriage does offer protections that do not apply to unmarried couples no matter how long they have been together. These protections include:
· joint parenting
· joint adoption
· status as next-of-kin for hospital visits and medical decisions where one partner is too ill to be competent
· joint insurance policies for home, auto, and health
· dissolution and divorce protections such as community property and child support
· immigration and residency for partners from other countries
· inheritance automatically in the absence of a will
· joint leases with automatic renewal rights in the event one partner dies or leaves the house
· inheritance of jointly-owned real and personal property through the right of survivorship (which avoids the time and expense and taxes in probate)
· benefits such as annuities, pension plans, Social Security, and Medicare
· spousal exemptions to property tax increases upon the death of one partner who is a co-owner of the home
· veterans' discounts on medical care, education, and home loans
· joint filing of tax returns
· joint filing of customs claims when traveling
· wrongful death benefits for a surviving partner and children
· bereavement or sick leave to care for a partner or child
· decision-making power with respect to whether a deceased partner will be cremated or not and where to bury him or her
· crime victims' recovery benefits
· judicial protections and evidentiary immunity

That is the sad part about people that were not active around 1975. They think people who say 1975 was clearly spoken of as the end by JW's is bunk. Those of us that were around then, know how JW's were selling their possessions and looking for the end to come.

Would Witnesses REALLY drink the "Kool-aid" if the faithful slave told them to? Yes or no?
by Witness 007 ina "spiritual leader" tells his followers the must put on rebok running shoes and "drink the cool-aid" to join a ufo in the tail of a comet and "go to a better world" so, afew dozen young people do just that to get "beamed up" to the mothership.
heavens gate cult 1990's.. my mother says "she is faithful to the organisation till her death" which makes me wonder if they ordered a mass suicide like the reverend jim jones did to escape a "great tribulation"....how many witnesses would really drink the cool-aid?...
without a gun pointed at their head of course!.

After I was having doubts about the organization, I asked my elder dad:
InOregon: If the WTBS told you it was now time to take up guns and kill the wicked, would you?
Elder dad: They would never ask that.
InOregon: Let's pretend that they do. Would you?
Elder dad: Yes
I asked another elder/pioneer the same question and he also said Yes. That was when I knew for sure I had to run for the hills. People that I liked and respected would blindly do whatever they were asked. That was very hard to handle at the time.
