  JW's on Facebook seem like happy people

  i just recently got a facebook page and started to look up some old jw friends (im a long time fader).

  i see there pictures and comments and feel kinda jealous that they all look happy (im in a rough stage in my life).

  i never was happy as a jw, and since i faded i am more comfortable in my own skin....the future looks bright for me.

  After reading this thread i hopped onto FB. I have an account but haven't logged in for a very long time and i found just about everyone i used to hang out with from the KH. Have they not mentioned Facebook by name at the DC or during the local needs yet?

  Why were you baptized?

  inspired by another thread.. i was baptized at 12 years old.

  i had a cousin, two years older than me, who was prettier, more outgoing and more popular in the hall than i was.

  i couldn't beat her at any of that stuff, but i figured i could be a better jw than she was.

  I was 15 and after studying every week for about 2 years it seemed like the logical thing to do so I got baptized. Once again there was more pressure to do it from the outside than it was my decision.
