  i remember reading an awake magazine article from 1946 that tried to explain dinosaurs and other carnivorous animals that left me more than a little flat.. certainly the existence of design would argue for a designer, but not necessarily the morality of said designer.

  now i know some would argue that my conception of morality is flawed and that of the designer so much superior, yet i have yet to hear or read of any narrative which i could back with my heart or head.. .

  im 20 from a family of both sides 3rd gen jdubs and ive been generally inactive minus assemblies memorials and the occasional meeting for 3 years.i dont what all im supposed to include in here....i left becuase:(not in order of importance).

  1)i felt and feel personally failed by the organization by allowing my siblings and cousins as well as many friends and there mothers over the years be sexually abused and mistreated.. 2)to much conjecture and flip flopping the "nobodys perfect" exscuse wasnt cutting it anymore.

  3)i want to help people in a real and unconditional way not just for the purpose of converting them.

  ah theres a lot more but i just wanted to come on here for some support im moving soon and attempting to cut most of my witness ties.I feel unprepared to survive without community looking for some understanding and insight

  if someone wanted to create a fake congregation in 7-miles-from-nowhere, north dakota (7-m-f-n, n.d. congregation) in order to trick the elders at another congregation, what could they get away with?.

  just assume that they use a p.o.

  Thanks on the way ive really enjoyed the topics youve been posting.About the records ive been thinking about it alot latl and what do you think the legel precident would be on that kind of thing.I want my past back I dont think anyone short of the police should have a record of my adolescent indescretions.

  last week during bible highlights, a sister commented on leviticus 19:28 about not having a tattoo.

  i also commented, saying that we are not under the law, but the principle should be taken into consideration.. a sister i don't speak with very often called me.

  she is in the same congregation as some of my family.

  i know what those conversations are like. It always feels to me anyway that the person your speaking to has ceased to be themsleves and is just speaking as a mouthpiece for the organization. They all say the same reasonings like the drama this past assembly ,so scarey it could have been a scene from my living room when i was 15

  i made a mistake when talking to a df'd person i used to know in my old congregation.

  she was super pioneer at the time, and i just found her on fb and found out she's df'd.

  i used the word "apostacloset" when explaining that i'll come out of it when the time's right.

  some people arnt strong enough to go out on their own and form their own belief structure and some just dont want to. I think your reaction to her acusation is most interesting. I hope we all get to a point were they can call us that and it wont elicite any feeling other then pity.

  i had a huge light bulb on moment as i wasy in therapy dealing with a nasty anxiety disorder for many years and having a huge trigger in my life finally silenced.

  it was almost the last thing that i thought i would end up doing expecially if you asked my wife and myself even a year before our decision to " live " thats how i view it not decision to leave...........it was a decision to live.. .

  my therapist psychiatrist asked me who are you?

  when i realised that i was sitting in a judicial comitee with a bus driver an insurance salesman and a janitor who were judging my soul. alot came after that but that was the tipping point.
