  We Former JW's Are Not Good At....

  accepting things as they are exspecially with relation to their relationships with still active witnesses.Its great to hope and wish theyll come to their senses or even just be more accepting but at a point its a lost cause

  I used to pack a bag evreynight for awhile when I was seven and sit on the top bunk staring out the window waiting for a sign it was happening surrounded by my stuffed animals for comfort.I guess I got tired of waiting....

  I hate District Convention time

  i had to pick my daughter up from my mothers yesterday after going to the district convention.

  i hate having to listen to how my mother has bumped into so and so and they've been asking about me.. she bumped into some of my ex's family who stopped and chatted.

  so two faced all of them.. it kind of gets my back up and i can feel anger coming up when i hear people who i used to respect asking after me, then if i were to walk past them in the street i know most of them would try to avoid me.. to top it all my mother has been dropping hints as to whether i will go with her.

  You should all be thankfull you didnt go it was scarier then theyve ever been and the drama was an all out attack on young jw's who are leaving or trying to they had evrey parent with a d'ffed kid in the place bawling there eyes out.It was so pychologicly manipulative it made me sick.

  The desperation of JWs hoping the end comes "soon"

  i'm starting to sense a certain desperation among jws, that they feel that the great tribulation must start soon.

  i think this is due, in many cases, to their own personal situation, financial or otherwise.. if the gt doesn't come soon, and these guys really start to suffer - what then?

  the watchtower's promises that "jehovah would not forsake them if they put kingdom interests first" by skipping or dropping out of college, turning down promotions, "simplifying" their lives by selling their homes and moving to the hinterlands...will all prove to be meaningless.. if the gt doesn't come soon, and "jehovah" doesn't bail them out...then what?.

  About 7 or 8 years ago i went to a carnival with a witness girl we were wating in line and she looked around and with a look of glee and amazed joy said CAN YOU IMAGINE SOMEDAY EVREYONE IN THIS PLACE WILL BE DEAD! ......that says it all doesnt it she was 11 or 12 years old

  i know i got bothered by all the self righteous music police who would condemn me or others for our awesome record collections from early years as a teenager .

  several experiences were really quite odd .

  one brother came up to me saying i was wrong to listen to the moody blues " nights in white satin "!

  my parents are afraid of rap music but isnt evreyone over 40? jk jk but yea I had my mother throw sublime and doors albums out on me in my young teenage years.What i thought was funny about the sublime album is she took it all the way across down to the downtown area a half an hour from our home to throw it away.did she think it would walk home to me? lol

  I think we all need to stop trying to convince ourselves its not coming(armageddon) it either is or it isnt but i would rather die independently wrong then wrong with the wts .Thats really all that matters if your comfortable in your choice let the fire rain from heaven your last minute repentence probably wouldnt be accepted by Jah anyway

  Insane Email From My JW Mother

  she starts out with some banal stuff about where they want to move, etc, then, she launches into this:.

  that brings up something i wanted to tell you in person but itseems that i am not going to be able to do that very soon.

  i amhoping to throw some light on what has happened within our familyesp during the time we were over there.. it has become very apparent to us now that during that time period from early spring on, in 200[x], satan launched an all-out attack on our family, son.

  As a lot of people have said this reminds them of their mother Im gonna conclude this is like the typical jw mother sadly.This whole exchange could have happened between me and my mother to.Exsept I think my mom might even be more direct but luckily I think she has givin up on trying to talk to me.Your in a tough spot id say kill her with kindness im much nicer to my mom then my jw sibling so maybe over time thatll wear her down into supporting me and condeming me less.

  outlaw your experinced reminded me of my own but i stopped getting spanked at the hall when i started screaming at my seat and all the way to the back room DONT SPANK ME IM SORRY PLEEEEEEEEEEASE DONT SPANK ME at the top of my lungs.It embaressed my parents enough to wait untill we got home wich usually gave them time to forget about the beating they wernt very consistant parents.lucky me

  This happens so much and its really said becuase thoose people are often happy to marginalize themselves by lurking around the sidelines of congrecations hoping some1 will throw them a bone instead of moving on with their lives.My brother was diffed for 9 years but he believed the whole time and let it torture him and now hes reinstated and just as mentally unstable as ever if not more.Its a sad state of affairs.
