Im not sure if i belive this is happening but if it is its still just a drop in a bucket and the bucket has a hole in it.If women were able to become elders and be in the gb then we'd have something to talk about.They just need more grunt workers.It would probably be a dramaticly different group if it were run at least partially by women for the better i belive.

Contempt is the perfect word for it I would rather the world just implode on itself then them turning out to be right (about armageddon paradise etc) becuase then it would just justify evrey awful thing theyve ever done.thats probably a little extremist but for now thats my standpoint

Does everyone else get this reaction from their JW family when discussing objections to the religion?
by jambon1 inwhen pointing out my objections to the jw religion with my wife, i have noticed a worrying trend which even after 3 or 4 years shows no sign of relenting.. after speaking calmly for an hour or so and logically pointing out my objections, my wife starts to put forward outrageous assertations about my points.
for instance, if i am refering to the fact that disfellowshipping is a form of extreem punishment & i mention the terrible effects that being d/f'd can have on people, she will eventually retort with something like "so what you are saying is that we should tolerate paedophiles, rapists & thieves in the organisation then?".
of course, i've never at any point said anything of the sort.. or if i have been overly critical of the amount of control the society wants over peoples lives, she would reply "so what you are saying is that we should all just go out & do what we want, get drunk & live an immoral life?

This may not be the advice that evreyone wants but in all my efforts to talk to jw family and friends and show them the fallacys arguing with me just seems to strengthen their resolve!!! so as agravating as that is as much as i can help it ive stoped talking to them and im trying to lead by example.Like look at my awesome life! you could be free to! and hope some-one clues in.Theres nothing jw's love more then what they perceive as persecution its their bread and butter...

The big question i have about this trial is not so much the witness involvement but why is this guy so stupid? Havnt we all watched enough matlock and law and order to know the whole kill your wife for the insurance money scam doesnt work? o maybe he didnt watch thoose shows ...to violent.didnt stop him from bludgeoning the mother of his children to death! really makes one wonder doesnt it?
