Im not sure if you're aware Mad, but Christadelphians also believe in anniliation, dont accept the trinity. Same for the House of Yahweh and they also stay out of politics, and condemn the holidays as pagan. The House of Yaweh, The Assemblies of YhwhHosuah, all proclaim Gods name and deny the trinity. Would you say that these religions have the "truth?"

I first want you to know there are different opinions within Christianity as to what hell is. For instance, some believe that it is literal "fire & brimstone" others believe it is an agonizing separation from God.
You should also know that Jehovah's Witnesses are not the only religion that teaches annilialation, (when you're dead, your dead)among them are; Seven Day Adventists, and Advent Christian Churches. If the teaching of anniliation is the basis for you to believe that the jw's have the "truth", does this mean the adventists have the truth also?

being a jehovah's witness at any time and at any level is a major head f*ck.
the reason is that it obscures what is important and causes you to focus on what doesn't matter.. i've moved on from my jw experience.
it's a shame that i found myself a born in, taught to focus on things that don't matter.

i can talk heres my history i joined the jws in the early 80s i was with them for about 4 yrs i was in centeral in dublin.
i left at about the time of john may and martin merryman and others although i couldnt fully accept thier rules when the split came it was easy for me to leave and now back to the present !

Agreed PS, searching is very valuable. I have alot more questions than I have answers, thats why I come here. I like to see several peoples view points and yes, I decide for myself, I dont let other people decide what I believe for me, not the athiests, other groups , or other christians. I let the wt do that for me for over 20 yrs, and nobody here is going to do that for me now.
In my view, the nature of God is a mystery, we aren't God, we are not always going to have answers in black & white. Thats what I love about freedom in Christ. We can have different viewpoints. We aren't jws anymore, we dont have to have all the answers, we dont have to be right. Sometimes, or alot, I think people on this board (not speaking of you) are looking for black or white answers to questions we are just not going to get. I try to just practice child like faith. I believe Christ is the Son of God, born of a virgin, raised from the dead. Everything else for me is a surprise, I love surprises.
