Interesting...its something i've asked myself about the witness beliefs in Revelation. How do they know which visions are symbolic and which aren't. The beasts, and angels and trumpets, etc..all are of symbolic meaning. But then we have to take the 144,000 number literally?

so according to this graph, to remain joyful a witness should spend 3 times as much of his waking hours in 'theocratic activities' as he should in secular work!

I agree with some that it shows this was created by those that live in Bethel. Their are maintained, do menial work, and have no worries...all their time is devoted to the interests of the "kingdom".
It has nothing to do with the regular witness folk outside of Bethel.

so last night i'm chatting with my wife about some things i had read on this site, when she dropped a bomb on me.
see we have been attempting new non-jw friendships, to make our fade a little more bearable (in her case since she has so many jw friends).
i have been trying to do this for her and told of a few i've found here, and on facebook.

I tell her about this poster who seems to have the same situation as us going on. I pm'd this poster and i was telling her about this persons response.

I can relate to how you're feeling. Isn't it horrible that this organization makes us choose on following rules and having friends, or living our life and losing our loved ones?
being a born-in i don't have much friends, in or out of the org., add to that the fact that i have been a stay at home mom for the last 4 years has made it even harder to meet anyone.
(i found out the truth about the wts shortly after deciding to stay home).
