Reinstatement in the kingdom hall means that you'll still be shunned by all for a long time = decades!
by witchtowerwitch indon't count on too much mercy my fine featherd friends,,,hehehe,,,lol...!after your reinstated,it will take 20 to 30 years before the dubs start to forget your sorted past.....and you all know this right?so why bother crawling back with you little tail between your legs,so a bunch of glorious elders can save face before the rank and file?no one should be df okay,as this was not the teachings of jesus, only paul who wrote this stuff, but could some wacko in the last 2000 years have inserted this satanic practice into the scriptures to control the masses and manipulate them?the apostle paul wrote too many contradictions in his writings,so why trust in anything that he wrote about?why trust the gb in hq/nyc as to their writings in these past 130 years, since everything that they wrote about is all lies,,,hehehe lol...!who is going to disfellowship them in the hq department for being liars?maybe jehovah will do it in his own due time?.

I got disfellowshiped when I was 18 and came back in when I was 28. The Elders treated me like I had some disease all snooty and standoffish. Of course they made me sit at the back of the hall for 6 months and told me I better go to at least 1 meeting a week for that time. It was humiliating and lonely. I was so humble and innocent putting all my cards on the table and trusting them. They finally decided to reinstate me and I was so excited thinking I would be welcomed back like the prodical son. No WAY, everyone treated me like I was contaminated or infected with some disease.
I moved 3 times before the stigma of being reinstated was shed but I still was never treated well because I had 4 little kids and a unbelieving husband so I guess I was considered weak in the truth. I tried so hard but it was never good enough so I just gave up after 7 years and quit going. The only ones that treated me nice were the so called weak publishers or poor people in the congregation.

I absolutely hated it, I was embarrassed and never tried to overcome objections, just said OK and breathed a sigh of relief if my parents weren't with me at the door. If they were they took over and I let them do the work LOL.
My parents were uber JW's and full time pioneers from the time I was 10. Summer holidays were spent 6 days a week from 9 in the morning until sometimes 10 at night going door to door or on RV's and bible studies.
Good news was that their territory was in the country so not so many doors to go to and a distance drive between each door. I hated town witnessing, to many doors slammed in my face. Oh and I hated going to the door of a church minister, but my Dad always insisted, but I said you talk to him. No you talk to him he would say, he will listen for a minute or two if you do it. What a horrible thing to do to a kid grrrrrrrrrrr

Yah I call it Kingombordom, This is at a DA way back early 60's I went too, my Mom Took this picture of a friend of hers from our congregation snoozing. LOL.
I still remember the long line ups for the washroom at Yankee Stadium, it was sometimes over an hour wait for the Ladies bathroom. I had to go bad once and was almost peeing my pants and I was crying from pain trying to hold it but My Mom wouldn't ask anyone to let me in ahead. You needed diapers and no drinking. I remember the horrible cafeteria line ups and the metal trays and having to stand up to eat under tents outside in the parking lot.
We were too poor to get a hotel room so my family were assigned a cheap room in some strangers (not JW) home. Not fun.
Nowadays I guess its still bad according to this thread.

So you think you were a True Witness?
by FaithfulBrother infuck you.. i was raised in a jw family in the 1980's-1990's where we had to do the daily text 7 days a week during breakfast at the family table at 7am sharp between 7:00-7:15am.
this was followed by a "spiritual discussion," which was held every morning between 7:15am and 8:00am.. since we were homeschooled, our weekly field service was required from childhood on friday mornings immediately following the spiritual discussion, followed by saturday afternoon field service after the bookstudy, as well as sunday afternoon field service after the watchtower study.. i was also required to read each watchtower and awake magazine and give oral reports about each magazine i read in order for my father to be sure that i had actually read them.
i can't remember for sure, but i think each watchtower and awake was released every two weeks back then, making a new magazine to read every single week, followed by an oral report on every single article (including the watchtower study articles which i also had to read, then study in our weekly family watchtower study where we marked our answers, then studied again at the sunday watchtower study).. in addition to this, we also had a weekly family bible study at night each week, had a family bookstudy at night in which we marked our answers for the saturday morning bookstudy, had a family watchtower study at night where we marked our answers for the sunday morning watchtower study, had a family prayer together every night before bed, every morning before and after breakfast and every night before and after dinner (not including our half-family prayers for lunch by my mother since we were homeschooled.).

Oh I feel for you big time. I was raised like that, it was horrible. I got disfellowshipped and I too felt frightened and worried that Armageddon was just around the corner.
I went a bit crazy and lived it up a lot for awhile. That was in the 60's but it didn't take away the fear so finally I just decided to live my life like the normal world. Armageddon is still not here over 40 years later and if I had just given up and drank myself to death I would have wasted my life.
Don't let them get their way, they are a cult and they lied to you. You need to do some more research to really prove to yourself its not the truth and then get on with your life. You might need help but its worth it. I had the nagging fear until 7 years ago when I discovered these online exjw forums with all the info to help me know that it was not the truth. That took away all my FEAR.

Dennis Wilbur Goetz aka Misty Goetz arrested - child solicitation ...
by talesin inthis article from the winona daily news ... .
it is my understanding that this man has been frequenting some of the exjw sites under the name of misty m. goetz.. .
goetz was convicted of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct in 1984, but from that time until his wifes death in early 2012, she had kept a close eye on his sexually deviant behavior, the complaint said.

Any suggestions on handling financial abuse of a senior by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society?
by Balaamsass indoes anyone here have any suggestions on handling financial abuse of a senior by the watchtower bible and tract society?
mom gave a lot of money to the watchtower bible and tract society over her lifetime- (6 figures).
after she ran low on funds she made a 5 figure "conditional loan" to wtb&ts.

Amazing it is showing up on Google. YAY!!!
This is totally AWFUL!! At one time I would have been shocked but now not so much but I am disgusted and further affirmation as to the greed and lack of love of the WT.
It happened tp me in a round a out way too. I thought at the time it was an isolated thng but now I see it's a common thing. They are being exposed more and more and thankfully their credibility is crumbling more and more.I wish that I knew about exjw forums 7 years ago when it happened to me when the Elders told my Mom she should change her will because her Grandchildren didn't love Jehovah. She phoned me and told me that she had changed it but I had NO idea it involved $100,000. She had brain cancer and was confused. I thought it was an isolated incident and left it as I was afraid to fight them.

BOTR so very sorry to hear about your pain and what you are going through. I truely feel for you and hope that it is alleviated soon. If all these good thoughts and wishes and vibes could at least uplift your spirits maybe it will help a little bit at least.
It is very difficult to have constant and chronic pain it wears a person down so much and its good that you are venting and sharing it with us. I suffer from it too so I can totally relate.
