  We Former JW's Are Not Good At....

  just based on what i have seen..... self esteem.

  I find it easy to flirt and charm... Just talk with confidence, and say what it is you mean... Simple... :)

  My girlfriend lovesme very much, probablybecause I'm not just after her body like all her past guys, but am opening her heart and helping her feel things she never felt before... The upbringing helped in as much as I know what a leading question is and can usually engage her in civil conversation and use a lot of reason on her.. :D

  But yes, in a social network I am nervous and dont usually trust others all that much... Though i have learned to take responcability for my actions and lead myself... :)

  Are Jehovah's Witnesses artificial people?

  What I found was that the supposedly 'good' or 'christian' or 'spiritually active' people where infact the worst out of the lot, many elders or pioneers even those older ones who where tryin to keep goin...They had no time for anyone else...

  But those people who didn't attend all the did what ministry they couldstruggle to make effort for and only answered one question... They where the decent folk, they'e have youover for dinner or ask you if you needed a lift.. Very nice and well spoken, plus they never spoje down to you, or made you feel uneasy...

  Also too many of those in service, thought they where above rather than below...

  i know many hundreds of jw's and there are several common.

  threads that tie them together.. 1. they were born into the truth and got married, had.

  children and now have deep jw family ties.. 2. people who are so gullible that they believe everything.

  I think women are more of a target too...

  Oh, anyone who cant decide for themselves what is right or wrong...

  Hello there IronHill, I too am new here...

  Joined yesturday and this is my first visit...

  I have many family in the org... So I know what you mean... I wish I knew about the 'tricks of the trade'you talk about, I'velost completely mywholesocial network...

  Has taken me 18 months to get andmeetnew friends... Even then, it's not the same... But of course it wont be...

  Hope to hear more about you and yours...

  Matin, having reead what you have put and a quick read through the replies I cant tell you that as a witness for 24 years, I was never able to get baptized...

  Never thought that being a witness was truely the way for me... There was something missing... I tried my best and got no where...

  I would do rearly well for abot 4 months and then nothing, lots of service and then nothing...

  How many times have you heard someone say, 'Oh, I thought it would feel different after baptizm'.. I can tell you that what I was doin was only leg duties andlips sevice... Now I am a walking bible and also very well versed in christian history... Thats all the good that has come out of it... Everything else is a natural law, like being kind or modest orloving someone...

  Having true peace is about putting yourself out for others, and helping those that need it... That is truely the value in life... :)

  For all the Witnesses proud about the coverage due to Jackson Family

  i've lost count of the number of times witnesses have pointed excitedly to the most obscure references and mentions to their religion.

  'look...look we're in the paper'.. what i say next isn't related to my personal feelings regarding michael jackson, however it needs to be said.. what i would like to say to all the witnesses, proud that their religion is gaining coverage through the whole michael jackson fiasco is this.

  take one look at the mental state of those family members and tell me they are what you would consistute as 'normal' and 'wise'.

  it would be nearly impossible to explain properly about the reasons why you leave the 'truth'...

  Even my parents don't want to listen... You are branded an 'Apostate' before anything else, even though, I have no intention of trying to draw people out of the 'organisation'... *sigh*
