Bible Rating...If it was made into a movie?
by Marlene inwhen my parents refused to let me see a movie due to the horrific "r" rated movies, i would usually reply with the smartass question "what would the bible be rated if it were made into a movie?
it would have to show genocide, human sacrifice, rape, incest, torture...even birthday celebrations!!
did anyone else ever use this line of reasoning?.

I wish they'd start printing the Expiration Date inside the publications.
Should it be 8 to 12 months?
Precisely. Maybe a few blank pages in the back to write down future "new light"

Smoking tobacco- ex-JW's have a warped view, so what should we do?
by OnTheWayOut ini used to smoke cigarettes.
i quit as i was learning the lies of the watchtower organization.. i used to smoke between 1 and 3 packs a day depending on whether i went drinking or not.. .
i didn't really quit for the religion, but as i was learning it.. i swore to quit when cigarettes got to cost me more than a buck a pack.

Excellent post OTWO- I often wondered why the organization allowed smoking, then deemed it a DF-able act. Since Russell was the perceived portal to God, shouldn't this deplorable sin have been communicated to the flock ASAP?
