  of course there's always the potential for people to be looking at things non jw on them.

  yes, i too have wondered how an assembly that is held in a fully paid for assembly hall, with no food service, could possibly have $10,000 in expenses.

  i suppose the bethel speakers have transportation expenses - maybe $1000 or so.

  as for rent on the assembly hall, well you have already paid for it once, why pay again?

  however, it is absolutely wrong for a person to think that in order to stay free for the kingdom service and avoid family responsibilities in the way of children he is justified in getting himself sexually sterilized.. .

  i just saw a blurb about this auther in 'the week'.

  he was raised a jw and has written a novel based in large part on the craziness he was raised in.

  haven't read the book itself, but thought it was interesting that it is being spotlighted in a national publication.

  tn offered a class for their 4000 employees from 90. different countries, get this,a class that teaches how to.

  besides having to sit through endless boring meetings during the evenings when they should be in bed getting their necessary rest for school the next day, they are falling asleep in the chairs with their little heads falling over.

  then all their fun is taken away by such a strict religion and a desert god which makes them grow up with no self esteem whatsoever.

  they tell them they're all sinners from the womb up and only a rod will remove it.

  I only went to 1 assembly at Papakura shortly after it was finished, hated the hall & that was one of my very last assemblies
