A buddy of mine told me that an annointed sister in her congregation was being a bit fresh with her fleshly/jw brother during FS and told him that if it wasn't for her calling, she would've hooked up with him. LOL

FRIENDS VS Theocratic FRIENDS - Gag Alert!
by Girlie ina jw associate emailed this to me.
exudes of typical jw smugness towards "worldly" folks.
has this been your experience in the borg?.

LMAO @ UC. So true.
Exactly Dixie. Kind of figured it was a pirated email since the mind control dulled JWs thought processes. At least your email version has a ring of truth to it.

FRIENDS VS Theocratic FRIENDS
FRIENDS: Never ask for food.
Theocratic FRIENDS: Always bring the food.
FRIENDS: Will say 'hello'..
Theocratic FRIENDS: Will give you a big hug and a kiss.
FRIENDS: Call your parents Mr. and Mrs.
Theocratic FRIENDS: Call your parents Mom and Dad.
FRIENDS: Have never seen you cry.
Theocratic FRIENDS: Cry with you.
FRIENDS: Will eat at your dinner table and leave.
Theocratic FRIENDS: Will spend hours there, talking, laughing, and just being together.
Theocratic FRIENDS: Could write a book with direct quotes from you
Theocratic FRIENDS: will cut your grass and clean your house
then come spend the night with you in the hospital and cook for you
when you come home
Theocratic FRIENDS: have your number memorized.
Theocratic FRIENDS: Are forever.
FRIENDS: Might ignore this.
Theocratic FRIENDS: Will forward this to all their Worldwide Friends..
Which one are you?If I had remained that naive little JW long enough, I may have passed this puke fest on to all of my other little JW friends believing it to be a form of encouragement.

Baptism Questions??
by lepermessiah inthis forum tends to get me thinking about things from the past and then roll my eyes.. i was recalling a particular pharasee in the congregation who used to love showing everyone how "smart" he was.. when i would go over the questions with someone, we would fly through them because it was usually with kids who were raised as jw's and could answer then in their sleep.
(besides the fact it was an "open book" quiz.).
well, mr pharasee used to always make it into a marathon session and take 2-3 hours to go over one section of the questions with someone.. he could take a simple question like "what is god's name?

Ya know? It's funny how we overlooked those small details to life inside of this borg that should have been wake up calls to begin with. Looking back, it is very weird how you have to qualify for baptism inside of this cult and still have to undergo a 2 question final exam to pass.

Prejudice in the Kingdom Hall.
by Joshnaz inhave you ever noticed how in the kingdom halls who have a mix of races, you find the whites sit in one area of the kingdom hall, and the blacks have their own section?
the district conventions and circuit assemblys too.
i've noticed one particular section where there were just black people who made up about 20% of the dc and the rest were white.

In my neck of the woods, there were no unusual seating patterns at any of the meetings, assemblies, DCs. However, I did take note that during the break sessions at the larger meetings, most did tend to cling to their own.

Do you have many friends since leaving the bOrg?
by AK - Jeff ini don't have many in my physical sphere.
but the ones i have are good ones.
of course we share no 'history', since i never had a 'worldly' friend until i left at 48.. in my cyberworld [and some would argue the credence of that] i have found many fine souls with which to commiserate, share, grow.

I don't have many friends. I just go with the flow and if someone should come around that I deem worthy of making my acquaintance with, fine. If not, that's fine also. As long they don't hinder my progress, so be it.
The instant network friendship inside of the borg was as good as long as I continued blindly following it. Once I left it, they left me. Most of them weren't worth much anyway, so no major lost.

views on JW internet dating........
by angel eyes inright.....many of you have said certain things would get people infront of a jc but ive thought different, mainly because i know of similar cases that havent gone before jc...but whats your view on jw and finding a jw partner on the internet???
i thought it was wrong???.
apparently not!!!!!!!

Perhaps if the stance on connecting with someone of the opposite sex wasn't so restrictive, there wouldn't be a need to go searching the sites for a partner. Not that I am opposed to the idea as I have heard of some success stories from it. I just find the major restrictions on opposite sex relations to contribute to the cause.

Trolling the Obits
by megs inso, a poster here stated that he trolls the obits and counts his time while doing it.
anyone else here engage in this behavior when active?
or is he amongst the more "special" members of your average congregation?.
-
Girlie
I've never done it, but it was encouraged in my congregation to read upon Obits and to write to the family and include the brochure When Someone You Love Dies for a hopeful RV and bible study.
