So sorry to hear this Donny. I don't know if it has been mentioned on this thread but they had an Awake that said no religon should come between family. It was the July 2009 Awake on page 28 and 29. Maybe you can show your son and go through it with him. Hope it goes well.

I've just been reading this, and I wish someone would comment that the elders knew he was a child molester(he molested his step daughter), and they did nothing. There was a thread with an offical letter from the society. They are all saying they want it to go to appeal and then prove the elders are not liable. I hope that it just proves how irreprehensible they are.

with all the tools and information at the disposal of newly awakened ones, it's still no easy task coming to terms with the magnitude of it all.
it still takes a lot of gut-wrenching time and effort to get to the point where you are sure you made the right decision to leave.. .
how did you long-timers (old-timers, respectfully) manage it without crisis of conscience, christian freedom, jwn, jwfacts, freeminds, access to thousands of fellow survivors with stories just like yours?.
I left because of the disfellowishing bullshit. I was right into it, but when they disfellowshiped my daughter and told her she will have to move out of my home, I lost it. That was 6years ago. Talesin we do lose alot, but there is freedom. I do miss my brother, he hasn't spoken to me since, and my daughter got reinstated, but she is fine with me.
