why jehovah created and destroyed dinosaurs
by dudeson inpractice?.
was it to get a head count on about how many vultures, ravens and crows he'd need to clean up the planet?.

When I cast aside the "organization" I found it very liberating not to be serving death or the threat of death any longer. Do you "serve" because of what god will provide or because you love god? Why do you need a reward for serving god...isn't serving god enough?

Are humans programmed to belive in god?
by highdose inthis is somthing the gb likes to assert.
but they ignore the many atheists in the world as they do so.
i have been coming more and more to terms with the fact that i don't blieve there is a god out there, gradually i am accepting this..

Human's tend to look for control when they can't exercise it, hence a need so to speak for a god (sun worship for example). If I throw my dice this way I get a 7, slowly turns into, if I sacrifice the goat on a sunday at high noon it will the jackpot. And that is passed down, and modified and enhanced.
I think its still more of a need to look for someone who has more apparent control then we do (and this is something, whether we are indoctrinated with religion or not are raised with for 15 to 18 years, sometimes more depending on the personality.)

To me it seems more of a item that you are brought up to believe in. Although we may have a tendency to have a need to "look up" to somebody (like mommy and daddy will make it better).
So are we programmed - yes in one form or another
Is it instinct - probably not

Stumbling Your Fellow Brothers
by dig692 ini just felt the need to express my thoughts on the matter of "stumbling others" in the congregation.
they tell you that you are accountable for your own soul and responsible for your own spirituality, and then they tell you that you can't do something if its going to stumble your brother.. if a brother/sister sees me doing something not condemned in the bible but maybe is a matter of conscience and he/she is stumbled...why is that my fault?
what makes me accountable for that?

I think there would need to be intention (at least logic dictates so). I don't think you can blame a rock for tripping over it, but sticking your foot out in the hallway as someone walks by on the other hand, although funny, would fall under a condemning context.
But again thats just me...

"---> <---"
...and thats how I chose the name transparentGreen. Not everyone appreciates the beauty of it, in fact most people don't even believe me that it is a color or even there. Of course it could just be a defect in/on my monitor...
So that answers your asked but not asked question correct?
