I don't really see this as all that crazy. How would people prefer this situation be handled? For them to assume that they did have sex and DF her anyway? Its pretty suspiciuos but there's a lot of reasons you can be alone with someone for an hour and not be having sex. So yes, if you're careful you can get away with an affair because there are no witnesses. Thats the lying, scumbag partner's fault... no one else's.

As for the all night rule, I suppose its exact definition is a little arbitrary but honestly, if two people go home together, go to sleep, and wake up the next morning and leave, what are the chances they didn't have sex? I mean, what other reason for that occurring would there be? Its not like going behind closed doors for a while where you COULD be doing anything... kissing, looking at baby pictures, just talking, getting a massage. There's only one reason you're going home with someone all night.

I don't think this is that crazy a letter really..

Welcome and glad you're in a happy place. I think, reading your story, you could probably look at your experience positively. Being in the organization helped you in some ways (lonesomeness, anxiety, controlling your temper). When the friends you made there didn't turn out to be genuine you moved on. You got your education in the meanwhile so, who knows, maybe that small stint ended up being for the best in your personality development at a vulnerable and often difficult transition period in most people's life (being away from home with no controls, etc).

So far of the 8 "common" personality types which account for about 80% of the populations, only 3 of 36 respondends ended up there.

Of the 8 "rare" personality types which account for 20%, 33 or 36 people ended up there (or 92%).

Its sounding that those that "wake up" are a very unique personality.

IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE:

N (Intuitive) is found in 20% of personalities in general. Among ex-JWs here: 94%

I (Introvertive) is found in 50% of personalities in general. Among ex-JWs here: 78%

J (Judging) is found in about 50% of personalities in genearl. Among ex-JWs here: 69%

T (Thinking) is found in about 47% of personalities in genearl. Among ex-JWs here: 67%

Ok this is pretty fascinating. I scanned through all the personality types, which have an approximate % of the population associated with them, and counted up the tally so far. Even with such a small sample size, the statistical significance of this data is already pretty profound:

Reason: False/illogical doctrine

Actually this sentence in my personality type summary gives the reason pretty well: "Masterminds are highly theoretical, but they insist on looking at all available data before they embrace an idea, and they are suspicious of any statement that is based on shoddy research, or that is not checked against reality."

Can the Bible be proved wrong?

NO matter what you try to "Prove" wrong, one could say "No that was symbolic," "No, day doesn't really mean day, it means xxxxx", "Evidently this is referring to...", "That has an invisible fulfillment".

Never and in no way can you pin down the Bible as being wrong to a believer. You might as well go out and prove to a Republican that Democratic policy is "right" or vice-versa.

Why can't you ask questions?

i know that some will disagree on this, and say you can ask questions.

yet, i ask you to honestly think what would happen if you openly started asking questions on jw doctrine or evolution.

likely you would be made to feel like i did below if you started asking these questions to other jws.. .

Jehovah's witness meetings are NOT BORING......

...i was told but they usually were as i look back.. as a lad i'd sit and look to see who the lights would fall on.

i'd get an almond and see how long i could suck it before i chewed at it.

i'd imagine playing rock'n'roll on the congregation's piano.. how did you get through the meetings when you were bored?.

Sunday's were easily the best because you had the WT so you could at least draw on something, read something, circle random words, make some stupid little game since you had material to look at and write on.

Also doing the sound was a MASSIVE "blessing". Back in the sound booth you could do all sorts of random things, or at the least continually talk to people who were coming and going from the bathroom.
