JB: I must echo the statement made by Babygirl 75.............no one believes the insinuations that the infant made. And ditto to "insearchoftruth." Take the time you need but come back refreshed.

True Faith Jehovah's Witnesses
by RR insome of you may be aware of the jw offshoot in the 1940s after the judge died, they call themselves true faith jehovah's witnesses and are essentially jw's in every way, shape and form, wiwth some minor differences.
found this on you tube, from one of their conventions:.

RR: Are these folks a world wide organization? Are they just as controlling and dictatorial as the regular jw's? What are some of the minor differences.

I remember thinking 'why would I want anyone to change from being in the world to a JW?'
by jambon1 indid anyone else feel this way & if so, at what stage in your time as a jw?.
i remember i must have been in the org for about 6 or 7 years.
i was always trying to be the life & soul of the cong.

Jambon's main point was that she noticed that "wordly people" seemed content and happy with their lives. So she felt conflicted about trying to draw them into this high control cult that would result in their losing their for the most part carefree lives and becoming unhappy robots. She was wondering if others also felt conflicted in that way.

Impressions from my first KH meeting
by bohm in<!-- @page { margin: 2cm } p { margin-bottom: 0.21cm } -->.
hey!.
i went to my first meeting last week and, well, i guess i want to write some thoughts about how a meeting is for an 'outsider' :-) .

Question to WT Wizard: "They are trained to look and act sincerely interested in you." -----Like Bohm I am an 'outsider' and am endlessly astounded by things I read on this forum. Are there actually classes or training sessions for jw folks to learn to act "sincerely interested in you." If this behavior is fake, do the persons engaging in this fake love bombing realize their behavior is cynical?

Do you have an Angel camping around your house?
by cantleave inno i have an english bull terrier, he protects me..

"We have an advocate with the father, Jesus Christ the righteous" If we are facing trials and tribulations in our lives, all we need is our mediator, Jesus. He is our protector --- our conduit to our Father. Sure angels are fascinating and awesome but they are merely our "fellow servants."

HI Claudia.
English may not be your mother tongue, but you demonstrate a competence with the language that rivals many of us so-called "English Speakers." ---------
Welcome and blessings.

Words of Wisdom from Stephen Colbert

Colbert is beyond beautiful....he is exquisite. (Also one of the best political satirists in the US).

I can't help that I think less of poor spellers
by gubberningbody ini just do.. if a thread title has misspelled words or someone's rant has misspelled words, all i see are those ragged, misplaced letters all akimbo.. it's like watching early morning tv and i can't notice anything said by the fat woman who doesn't know how to dress for her figure.. i just think silently ... "you're fat and you dress poorly.
how can you stand it?".

Does anyone know if this chronic struggle to conquer spelling and syntax is a malady borne mostly by english speaking folks? Do French speakers, Italian speakers, Swedish speakers also struggle continuously with their native languages as we do? Listening to satellite radio the other night, I heard that French children have conquered their native language and are very literate by the age of 5.
