  in 1 corinthians 7, paul continuously makes plain that he was speaking his own opinion:.

  (1corinthians7:12-16)12 but to the others i say, yes, i, not the lord: if any brother has an unbelieving wife, and yet she is agreeable to dwelling with him, let him not leave her; 13 and a woman who has an unbelieving husband, and yet he is agreeable to dwelling with her, let her not leave her husband.

  14 for the unbelieving husband is sanctified in relation to [his] wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified in relation to the brother; otherwise, your children would really be unclean, but now they are holy.

  I think we could add more of Paul's words to this discussion, like him saying that "All Scripture is inspired of God". He probably had no expectation that his letters would ever become part of scripture when he wrote that. Yet they are. Even stuff like him leaving a cloak at Troas or asking for 'the parchments' has some special relevance or ends up being quoted in a WT, when it was entirely mundane.

  Same as always, the GB's basic message is that it doesn't really matter what the Bible actually says, what matters is what we tell you it says.

  Dreaming of witnesses

  does anyone have dreams or nightmares about jehovah's witnesses, the society, or your trapped loved ones?

  i do all the time and they wont stop.

  i wake up with cold sweats and an upset stomach.

  I frequently have dreams of being back at meetings again. The last one was quite recently and I was Watchtower Reader. Another one I had was with me having to give a talk I hadn't really prepared for. Sometimes they are so real I can almost still feel the sadness as I reached yet again for my Kingdom Ministry or Theocratic Ministry School Schedule.

  It's horrible, but it's only a dream. Dreams are nothing to fear, just projections of our fears without the restraints our conscious minds exercise. One can hardly expect to fully erase the Borg programming, I suppose. It's like Picard still being able to hear the Collective. I wish we could control it and not dream about them ever, but...we can't.

  At least, if you're out of the cult, the nightmare is over.

  kudos to jwn roving correspondent sd-7 for his insightful comments in a recent thread.

  as a result of his inspired utterance, i received a flash of insight that has allowed me to predict with uncanny accuracy the exact date for armageddon's arrival.

  This is insane. But I like it, LOL.

  If things get really desperate, well after our lifetimes have overlapped and gone, it wouldn't surprise me if they dug this one up and used it. It actually worries me, that some obscure satirical remark I've made and forgotten about might actually come back to haunt me like this, ha ha!

  Great job, 00DAD. Oh, and in no way am I affiliated with any of the statements that apparently sprang from my own statement...I in no way intended to imply that this system would end in 2325 or 2344 or anywhere in between. And especially do the writers of The Beast-Tower stand together in taking no part whatsoever in how some individuals may have read more into our statements than was implied. We, of course, share the disappointment of many in whoever may have been stumbled as a result of our words.

  This meeting has been beaten to death, but I can't help but think about it again. They did SIX TALKS about the meaning of Matthew 24:45-47? SIX TALKS? I mean, what? It's only three verses, man. But you need six talks to explain what they mean? They'd need less talks than that to explain six verses in Revelation!

  I mean, nobody finds it peculiar that the Governing Body spends six talks explaining why and when they have been appointed by Jesus to feed people? Even as a true believer I would've known this was all about power. Well, guess that's why I'm out....maybe I wasn't really a true believer...

  no one must ever compromise any of the essential, life-saving truths from god, but to truly be part of the "one body" required of christians, everyone must compromise some personal beliefs, preferences, interpretations, etc.. the jewish christians in rome were commanded to give up the mosaic law.

  Wouldn't Korah have said the same things about Moses? They would have looked at all of Moses' faults and seen that he was a poor representative of Jehovah too. But Jehovah chooses to use imperfect men.

  You're right. Guess who also died in the wilderness? Moses. Korah apparently wasn't too far off the mark, after all.

  Even David did not disrespect the anointed of Jehovah. And Saul was not doing as Jehovah commanded. However, David proclaimed that he would never reach out his hand against the anointed of Jehovah.

  Saul fell on his own spear. The Watchtower sticks its own foot in its mouth and kills itself as being the true religion. Meh. History repeats.

  We look at what the ones that claim to be anointed teach and compare it to the Bible Watchtower literature. If they do not have Jehovah's holy spirit, then they will not teach spirit directed truth whatever is in the Watchtower this week.

  In other words, if they have God's spirit, they'll teach what JWs teach, because JWs are right. Even if they're wrong, they're right. Back in the day, you'd get eaten by a she-bear if you prophesied the wrong stuff in the name of God. The consequences were immediate and brutal. Now, you just get listed on Time magazine's top 10 failed prophecies of all time. Thus bringing reproach on your god's name. You're literally right next to the Branch Davidians and Harold Camping, man:

  it was weird because the color scheme seemed like a zombie-green.

  my old coboe was conducting the study and he seemed like kind of a jerk.

  Hmm. Well, I'd just button my suit jacket if I was experiencing a normal sexual arousal. Such feelings would no doubt subside as I dwelt on spiritual things and not those spectacular legs crossed right there, in front of me.
