  Is the Watchtower organisation facing the biggest crisis of its history?

  recent developments make me think they might be.

  the problems they are facing are not just lack of funds but also draining authority, and the two could be a heady and explosive mix.

  one of the best analyses ever written of the watchtower was a book called "trumpet of prophecy" by sociologist james beckford in the 1970s.

  the 2016 january tv.jw.org broadcasting has a clear message: jw.org needs more money!.

  the 2 months of donation increase is not enough: the thousands of projects are not a 2 month project.. so: thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you (heh heh heh) and send us more!

  personal conclusion: if i had any doubts that the society is sincere, this openly money grabbing has made my perception complete.

  any JW construction going on other than Warwick?

  is anybody aware of any kingdom hall builds going on or any kind of ldc activity?

  i've been wanting to ask this, and committeechairman's question at the end of this thread, http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/289353/ldc-semininar?page=4&size=20, moved me to go ahead and ask.. i've kind of wondered whether the org leaders got rid of rbcs and instituted the ldc arrangement because they wanted to be able to stop or slow down construction without it being obvious.

  if the rbcs were still in existence, it would be obvious that there's nothing (or almost nothing) going on (if that really is the way it is) because rbc personnel would be idle when they were used to being busy.

  As of now they are only printing one magazine a month,it would be intresting to find out what they are doing with the money saved it must be quite a bit for not printing and the distribution of about 50 million magazines

  No reason to be streched as of now JAN 2016 because they are not printing one of their monthly magazines it has a print run world wide of around 50 million copies so they must have a few $$$ spare
