  i'm rather sick inside right now.

  i just found out the sicko that molested my friend, his daughters, grand-daughter, and others just got reinstated.

  he's been disfellowshipped for awhile now.

  i haven't followed the generation change in the doctrine that closely, just read a few snippets of the overlapping generations doctrine.

  i find this hard to believe even for the pathological liars the governing body.. has anyone seen the 4/15/2010 watchtower with their own eyes?.

  can anyone validate that the wtbts really is saying this overlapping generation idea the way it is being quoted on the internet in a few places?

  I had my cousin come in from out of town a week ago, and we ran with that phrase pretty hard. It was actually pretty funny.

  It has been since October that we've heard from the, how is it termed WTWizard? Hounders? Yes, those people, despite the fact that last time we spoke I very dramatically told them to get off my lawn, and not to come back. Since at that visit they found out at that my youngest childs birthday was indeed celebrated, with no beheading, but still, and since we've celebrated wicked Halloween, Horrible Christmas, my birthday...who knows if they know all that....they have now called my husband. The message went something like this:

  "Hey, ummm, ______, Brother COBE wants to get together with you and well, we need to clear a few things up. Maybe we could meet at the Kingdom Hall, and well anyway, just give us a call back so we can get this taken care of"

  So either

  a) CO is comin' round tha mountain as he comes (sing along with me)....or

  b)my oldest child putting it in the face of my mother the fact that she's never been happier, and that we've just had our best 1st Christmas...or

  c)they think that we can be reactivated. I feel like charcoal. (I'm sure the nurses on the board will catch that one)

  In related news, I felt such a huge wave of laughter come over me when my husband played the voicemail! While we wish Brother Newly Appointed Elder that used to be our good friend wasn't the one doing the hounding, we felt it was utterly funny that they are even trying.

  Deny that a member of the congregation touched our children in an inappropriate way? SURE we want to be in your congregation...absofreakinlutely. Gimme a break.

  Taking Sodium Seriously!

  i am, along with my wife, trying to find creative ways to lower our sodium intake.

  the aha recommends a diet consisting of less than 1500 mg of sodium daily - yet most americans eat at least twice that.

  i believe now, having spent most of a morning looking through grocer shelves to determine sodium levels, that twice the level might actually be a very low estimate.

  Also if you are adding salt to food for flavor, make sure it's SEA SALT for sure. While it has the same sodium level, it's often way better in that the trace minerals are still there (chemically removed in mined salt) and it's just plain better for you. Obviously you have less of a choice in prepackaged foods, but if you want to add salt, I recommend sea salts.

  I can honestly say that I didn't envy them at all, but what really irked me was that I couldn't give a talk facing the audience. I just really thought it was because the women were better at conversations, and the men were just full of hot air (a tell about my upbringing and childhood, huh?)

  I'd never want position in the congregation, as its just more work and more stress.

  Good thing I quit...and that I'm not a man. My husband felt the same way by the way. He'd pioneered, but never reached out for "position".

  Getting my GED so I can go to college

  i've been trying to get my ged for a few months now.

  i bought some books and have been working through them on my own.

  i came to a road block working on my own, and i decided to go for free classes offered by my local school district.

  some i can figure out on my own and i did download a book of apostate terms that was posted earlier (alongside a chart outlining similarities between ex jws and ex lds), but a few i do not "get".

  how about we use this thread for any confused ones to ask and be rewarded with an answer?.

  Conditional love dilema....need advice

  one of my daughters has been dating a guy for about two years now.

  they are starting to talk about marriage, but ran into a "snag" involving his family from his previous marriage, which may disolve the whole relationship.

  i won't go into details about that.

  Hubert, I actually got tears in my eyes reading how happy you are that it worked out. What a treasure you have with those 2 daughters worrying about you so, and associating with you as family first and not giving much weight to religion.
