  Is the WTBTS racist?

  in australia there are separate congregations for aboriginal witnesses.

  the official line is that the nonwitness aboriginals are more responsive to other aboriginals.

  that may be so, but that doesn't mean that they should be kept separate for meetings.

  For me, a relevant question would be "if an aboriginal did not wish to be in a separated congregation, could they freely join a white congregation." I suspect not.

  Actually they can, but in most places where they have aboriginal congregations they are because of the natural suspicion they have of whites and they are areas heavily inhabited by the aboriginals. We had some in our congregation, but they had been raised in the white community and blended in well. Also, the aboriginals have their own way of speaking ... wihch even my aboriginal foster daughter had trouble understanding after being out of their culture for 12 years ... now she speaks to her son in that lingo sometimes to get him used to it also ... so he will be bi-lingual and bi-cultural like she is.

  anG: Sorry had to laugh - Do you consider yourself famous - Have you ever had an original thought - All you seem to do is copy & spam in a most irritating way. If you are going to persist in spaming at least give credit to the original source.

  I have lots of original thoughts ...... you don't want to hear them - believe me!

  I give credit when I know the original source ..... but I get so much sent to me, and have so much on file that I often don't know the original source ....

  As for being famous, or legendary, I am well known more than you realize

  And as for "spaming", amazing how many replies of thanks I get for my trouble .....

  Thanks for sharing that here PurpleV ..... It is good for us to see what it was like yesterday.

  Just think, back then he could stay home with his grippe and not be marked for it ..... nowadays if you mistt the assmblies you are definitely spiritually weak and can find yourself having to answer 'why?'.

  Keep those things .... put them in a memento book. The Watchtower slips are memorabelia and will be worth money for your grandchildren ......

  Disease question

  if jehovah created the world with no disease or sickness, did he create adam with an immune system just in case, or did he have to recreate adam with the ability to fight disease after he and eve sinned?.

  I think that our immune system was so good that we did not succumb to the diseases that were around. Remember, a lot of the bacteria around us has a purpose, and if we are really healthy we are less likely to suffer from any bad effects. Example: Staph is on our skin all the time ... it is naturally there ... but if our system is weakened, we are likely to get skin infections. Pseudomonasis a naturally occuring bacteria meant to break down organisms, but get it in a wound or in your lungs and you are in deep pooh.

  How to Leave WT and Intact

  one of the most painful things i continue to see here on this forum as well as all the others is that many who want to leave wt simply don't know how to leave and remain "intact" as it were.. i recall talking with jw who "formally disassociated themselves back in the 70s and it was not till the 90s and the net did they finally feel free.

  or many who jump up and write a letter off to mo larry and curly (congregation service committee).

  while i feel there is absolutely nothing wrong with writing a letter for many it is a matter of.

  Vsecret ..... you said your mum and sister said to do what you have to do ..... are they still in the org?

  If they are, then their attitude will have to change after you do this and it is announced. They
  will either have to shun you or do the same ....

  Of course, compliance or conformity might be bad or might be good--it all depends on the situation, don't you think? The example of traffic regulations comes to mind, or waiting one's turn at the cafeteria line.

  But that is compliance with rules when it is traffic laws etc. Waiting one's turn at a cafeteria is
  being polite ..... but conforming so you wont be ridiculed such as going along with the crowd even
  when you know it is wrong is different. This is what the studies were showing.

  I have long been a non-compliant sort of girl and though it wins me no friends in some quarters it has saved me from many a mistake

  Glad to hear you leart it so early ..... I finally learnt this and you are right, it wins us no friends in
  some quarters ..... but it is us non-conformists who have changed the world .... eg. electricity,
  telephone, penicillan, and so on ......

  If I'd Known Then What I Know Now.

  if i'd known then what i know now, i would have realised that the vague prospect of everlasting life in the company of other witnesses, was not enough reason to give up all the pleasurable things in this life.. if i'd known then what i know now, i would not have spent many years appeasing my jw parents.

  i would not have waited 12 years before saying that df'ing was their problem, not mine, and how dare they question how i live my life and bring up my children?

  i'm the one setting the right example by loving them without any conditions being attached.. if i'd known then what i know now, i would have accepted that most people are kind and helpful whenever possible.
