by AGuest inthis is totally out of my usual realm of posting but i really would like some input, please (may you all have peace!).
i have supervised many employees over the years and have dealt with all kinds of issues, except this one... although i know it's not uncommon.
i have a staff member who has the worst halitosis.

As a man, who's spent far too much time on the internet looking up animal scientific names, Hebrew verbs, and pharmaceutical AWPs, I just wanted to say there's a lot of Felis Catis Krav Maga as a result of either, execessive drospirenone, or lack of ethinyl estradiol. Or vice versa, or too much of both. Hard to tell with all the clawing and hissing going on in this thread. I thought the feminine vessel was to be the weaker of our species, or at least the more diplomatic anyway? This thread gives credit to the thought that a woman should not be President of the US. Imagine if Hillary or Palin got in? How many countries would be destroyed every 28 days had one of those two "ladies" got in office? At least countries on Hillary's list would have 27 days to prepare every month.

Had to throw one punk song in there too. You want a great workout album for a 25 minutes to a half hour? Get Walk Among Us-Misfits. You'll burn some calories. When you get beyond rookie workouts and you're ready to take it to the next level, get the Earth A.D. album. The first time I heard this song, it was burned in m brain. Nike A Go Go!

Lately Hip Hop has been flowing through my veins. Every now and then I gotta go back to the 90s and early 2000s.

Is it ethical for the GB to call the preaching work "life-saving"?
by sabastious ini think it can be concluded that the jehoavh's witness preaching work is not life saving.
there are a variety of reasons for this, but i think one of the main reasons is that the preaching work cannot be completed, too many people are born every day to preach to.
and countries like china, india and most of the middle east are not going to bend at all.. that being said, how can they refer to it as "life-saving"?.

hear ya brother. Being an elder must be rougher than rough. Why don't you step down? Just say you are battling with depression or something and don't feel qualified anymore. (or something like that).
-Sab
Forgive me I don't mean to sound defensive, but I don't really like talking about that elder stuff on here too much anymore. If you notice I don't bring it up too much. I'm not any more stressed than any other active JW on here. Just another poster. My comment though about the ministry causing people to resort to drinking or other vices, really applies to anybody in this orgnization. There's enough alcoholics to go around amongst JWs. Enough sexually repressed people to go around JWs, and a host of other past times that JWs might not be able to get enough of while looking for some kind of stress release from this hamster wheel way of life. Trying to make sense of why we go out in field service is like trying to make sense of an anonymous person committing suicide without leaving a note. Can't tell you how many times I've sat through Service Meetings that were broken records trying to provide scriptural support and encouragement for supporting field service. Can't tell you how many times I wanted to tell the Service Overseer his visit is worthless, and his suggestions at getting more participation in the field are a waste of breath. I've always loved when people say after field service, "I feel so good after doing that!! I feel fulfilled!" I want to tell them so bad, "you feel good because its over!! You can go home, or do whatever else you've been wanting to do for the past three hours we've wasted in field service!!"

Indeed, I'm not saying it hasn't saved some people's lives out of a likely drug overdose or something like that.
-Sab
Ya know something though, I'm backtracking the more I think about it. The life saving work has caused some people to resort to drugs and alcohol, myself falling under the latter category LOL.

Good points. Wanted to mention though that information in the scriptures have corrected enough wayward people that you could say to a degree its life-saving. Not live-saving as the WT views it, but its helped some people. You're right though for the most part, it is the biggest waste of time. It is a burden. One of the latest books, I can't think of the name of it, the one with the group photo of the GB, maybe one of you can help me with the name. It has a picture of two brothers in field service, and the one is looking at his watch with an expression on his face like, "It's 11:49, I'm so outta here!!" The brother with him is at the door and has a look on his face like, "don't you realize how important this work is?!?!?" The far majority of JWs fit the description of the brother looking at his watch. Its an excellant picture by the way.
