Southern women can be kind of slow though, almost to the point of retardation. Watching the news or a documentary with a southern gal is like trying to teach a paraplegic how to walk. Give me a northern, east coast woman any day.

What Is It About Southern Women?
by snowbird inwe are a unique breed whom outsiders apparently find fascinating.. a lady and i were discussing this at the beauty shop on yesterday; her take on it is that we are hidebound traditionalists who are unashamedly sweet and sentimental.. what's your view?.

av8orntexas : Every sister seems to say they don't need a MS, Elder, but just a guy who is trying. But my experience tells me if it's not that, it's something else. I know others may not agree with you,but I understand where you're coming from. 'Entittled' probably best describes the attitude I usually get as you said. It's like pulling teeth in trying get to know someone.
It screws with your head...I'm stable in my career, I have my act together, but my generation doesn't appreciate maturity ( I'm 33 ) MTV, Reality Tv,etc.. there are people out there who I honestly view realationships and life through that garbage.
This is what I love about this forum. Somedays I think its just me.

exactly Mindmelda, you summed it up in a nutshell. I went to my Circuit Assembly recently, I had a little business to handle behind the stage, and rubbed shoulders with a few of the elite. The amount of brown nosing and butt kissing would make a homosexual prison inmate blush. I've always prided myself on being a man, and looking at some of those clowns trying to get in with the DO, and the CO made me sick. A couple of them I would have liked to have taken in a room and smack some sense into em. Grown men acting like groupies. Disgusting.

These Mars vs. Venus threads are great. A breath of fresh air compared to the monthly, sometimes weekly Trinity threads, or Evolution vs. Creation threads. There are few things in life as entertaining as getting a woman riled up.

Daringhart, you're pimp hand is serious. 8 at one time? I'll have to start calling you the Bishop as in the Bishop Magic Don Juan(look him up for those who've never heard of him)
So tell me, how many judicial committees did you sit on, where the woman was df'd or publicly reproved, and the man got a lesser sentence?
In the Organization, there's ALWAYS a power differential, and it ALWAYS amplifies in favor of the male participant, no matter how "non-character" you perceive the female to be. No matter how many (4?, 5?, EIGHT?) married women are throwing themselves at you.
Odrade, I've only been doing this Elder thing for a few years now, and sat on 3 judicial committees, two involving pornea. The two involving such ended in private reproofs for all four males and females. They all lost the privilege of commenting only. Most brothers I know don't have the personalilty makeup to seek a disfellowshipping. I'll agree organizationaly as a whole, males are catered to in regards to privileges which are like merit badges to a JW. I've read some judicial situations on this forum that made me cringe, and I'm not challenging the honesty of those posts. However, speaking from experience, and knowing the personality of other Elders I personally know, most are not Judge Dredd or the Terminator when it comes to females.
As far as single women in the Truth is concerned, it is a sad situation. There's a side of me that understands where Daringhart is coming from. In my Hall, there's almost a dozen single sisters, half pioneers, and the chances of them getting a guy a slim to none. I'm single, and its funny how a sister might get at me periodically. Personally I think the culture of JWism is what makes relationships difficult to procure. Most sisters that flirted with me came off like a job interview. It's not attractive to hear from a woman how she's going to the Ozarks in Arkansas to witness to a Deliverance(yeah, squeal like a pig) type enviroment. They tend to want to talk about organizational matters which they believe equals spirituality. Its a real turnoff. In comparison, I work in an office enviroment, and the women there are refreshing. Educated, unique personalities, stylish, spiritual without the organizational baggage that comes with JWS, etc.. Speaking from the point of view of a single male, who's ready to settle down, buy a house, taking into consideration I'm probably going to die an old man in this system of things....nonJW women are more appealing. I refuse to work full time while my JW wife drives around with her friends 70 hours a month pioneering with absolutely no success. I don't know the stay at home mom thing, but the stay at home pioneer wife thing would make me go O.J..

I still listen to some Hip Hop, hardcore punk, stoner rock, and some metal. Every now and then I grow a soul patch, and between meetings and field service, I let my beard grow. Still occasionally see rated R movies in theaters. Although I have to admit with all of those things, the older I get the more my conscience doesn't allow me see certaint things, or listen to as much foul language. The same things I used to listen to on my walkman as a teenager, when I walk by a car blasting similar content, I cringe at the language. During fits of anger, I still occasionally use language I shouldnt use.
I love boxing, I would have loved to have done it for a living, there's just something about fighting that intrigues me. So right now I'm debating whether or not I'm gonna go to a sports bar and see the Mayweather/Mosley fight. As I'm typing this, my email alert just flashed something my worldly coworker sent me saying this is gonna be a good fight. Ahhhhhh!!! Decisions, Decisions!!! Every now and then I watch MMA, Anderson Silva is monster!!
2009 to now are the first years I ate birthday cake. You know I felt guilty getting a plate? When walking back to my desk, I felt like a failure. Once I took a bite though, it all went out the window. The women here treat me like a posession, and they always call me on the phone from all the way on the other side of the floor, "Misery, did you get some cake? No? I'll bring you a plate!"
High School, and even a couple years after it, I hung mostly with worldy dudes that my family didnt know about. Fooled around with women occasionally. Used to go home and pray for hours afterwards feeling so guilty. Nowadays I don't hang out with anybody ,worldy or in the so called Truth. Most people are scum anyways. I've learned to view the opposite sex as people as opposed to thinking about how I'd like to "hit that." No more conscience issues as a result on that end of things.

I used to spend 3 hours a day here...thanks for my lifeline! THANKS ALL!
by oompa ini did that more days than i could count...i logged on at work all day and would check it hourly...then all evening at home.
i did this for a full two years i think.
this place is an incredible support group many of us may need due to the odd nature of many of our problems....that is what i used it for, even though many are here just for accurate information.. so thanks simon for caring enough all these years to compile and run this place....you have probably saved many lives...including mine btw but barely.....and of course you awesome contributors who came to my aid so many times....also a big thanks!!

I do that too. I log in usually an hour or so once I sit down in my cubicle and start working, and check it periodically throughout the day. I looks like I've been perusing threads for 8-10 hours a day, when I only check it out an hour or so. It is fascinating the various trains of thought on here.
