We are a unique breed whom outsiders apparently find fascinating.
A lady and I were discussing this at the beauty shop on yesterday; her take on it is that we are hidebound traditionalists who are unashamedly sweet and sentimental.
What's your view?

The conversation came about because we were watching the show, Unsung Heroes, wherein a lady from Biloxi, Mississippi, rose to fame as lead singer of the 70's group, Rolls Royce.
The other members, all guys, were sooooo jealous of her abilities and her relationship with their manager, but nothing could sway the manager from putting her out front.
She, imo, was very sweet towards them, never flaunting her talent, but they just couldn't get past being upstaged by a lady! And a Southern one at that!
