I've always said the TFDS teaching is probably my biggest beef with this organization. I've never found anything in their literature to support their interpretation of it. When you look it up in the Insight Book, there isn't any argument made to support this teaching. To the contrary, they criticise the general view that the parable applies to all Christians who take an active role of feeding others spiritually. Then the paragraph proceeds to toss out more convoluted thoughts to hide the fact that what Christ said was simply a parable or illustration. Nothing prophetic about it.

My experiences turned me into a loner too. Nice knowing we're not alone. Strange to grow up a JW when reflecting on it all. For some it was torture I guess. Like I say nowadays, devout JW parents who decide to have children are some of the cruelest bastards walking this planet.

Talk about taking yourself WAY too seriously -
LOL Exactly. Hilarious. That book will be on Rapidshare or here within days or weeks of it reaching the hands of all the Elders.

It's the typical hierachy that causes them to kiss up so badly. Just as elders expect MS's to kiss their asses, so the CO expects the same deferential adulation from the elders. The DO's expect the CO's to kiss their asses and so on up the ladder. The Governing Body of course, expects everyone from the R&F to Jesus Christ to kiss their asses.
Plus, the CO can delete whoever he wants as an elder. All you have to do is piss him off and you're history. Since many elders love their power and position, they will do anything to make sure they keep it.
The bad part about all of this is its so true, and it disgusts me. Since being a teenager I remember Ice Cube saying, "I'm not saying this to diss each and every fan, women you can ride, but men be a man. Shake my hand, and make it a firm shake, say wdup Ice Cube and then break! Cuz if you stand around, I'm gonna tell ya loud and clear, get off my d#$# and tell ya b#$# ta come here!"
Granted thats a crude way to say be a man, but its fitting. I've seen brothers begging to take the CO and his wife out to dinner. Brothers having their wives bake cakes and what not. As a man I find it disgusting. Rather die on my feet than kiss booty and live on my knees.

Here's another one by the way. Luke Evans.
He grew up in the small village of Aberbargoed, the only child of a builder and a housewife. They were a young couple – 19 and 23 when he was born – and both are devout Jehovah's Witnesses. 'That's what I did for the first 16 years of my life.' Spread the Word, door to door? 'That's it.' What impact did that have on him as a child? 'You're knocking on people's doors every week, in other villages down the valley, so you do develop a sense of confidence, to deal with the knock-backs and with people not wanting to speak to you.' It was a happy home – 'they're people with good morals and standards. No swearwords were allowed at home at all, ever,' – and Luke only gradually moved away from the faith as a teenager, leaving behind Creationism and the total ban on swearing. By 16 he had his own ideas. 'I wanted to live my life. I didn't want to upset anybody but I had a clear vision of how I wanted to live and it had nothing to do with religion.'
School, Bedwellty Comprehensive, was more difficult. 'I was bullied at school, I was very unhappy. Being a Jehovah's Witness, being an only child… in a small village you only have to be a little bit different and you're vilified.' The bullying wasn't physical, he says, just a continual alienation from his peers. On his first day out of school aged 16, he went to River Island and got a job shelving shoes. He saved £15 per week for acting and singing lessons, and a year later, won a scholarship to the London Studio Centre, a college specialising in musical theatre. 'Oh, it was wonderful being able to sing and act every day. I'd always thought it would just be a creative vent and I never thought I could do it for a living. So the way things are now is just amazing.'

I was just about to post a thread on this. Glad I did a search first. It makes me feel good to see him sucessful. Makes me feel real good. I hate that he hasn't spoken to his parents since age 16, but it exposes the tretcherous nature of this religion. The ironic part is JWs and the WT loves news articles with a positive expose' on the religion. I wonder how many JWs saw the title of this news article and were all ready to share with other JWs or relatives, only to discover that this guy's success was driven by the WTS totalitarianism.

Even when I was in high school I liked older women. My English teacher could have definately gotten it. She used to cross her legs, and every dude in the room cocked his head sideways. I saw a picture of her on Facebook recently and she is quite scary to say the least. In her day though she was like a militant version of that blonde lady in the movie with Nazis, teenagers, and singing from way back then. I can't remember what that movie was called. Horrible film. Hated that crap. I think her name was Julie Andrews or something like that. My English teacher looked like her with glasses and a mean attitude.
Now since reaching the second year of my third decade on this miserable planet, in this cancer of a religion, I find myself even more attracted to the mid to late 30ish crowd. The early to mid 40ish crowd has quite a few eye pleasers as well. Older women have a sophistication that you'll find is rare in younger women. The older I get, the more I appreciate their feminine fat and the clothing they wear to compliment it. I work in an office setting, and some of these business women can get it. The financial director on my floor is a little healthy, and has post-two brat based fat. She's not obese by any means, but she's a good 30 lbs overweight I'd say. She's also what you might call busty. If she lost too much weight, she'd have to get a breast reduction. Otherwise her back would be like that of someone who has scoliosis. The extra weight looks good on her in my opinion. She wears her pant suits, and her scarfs, with her short haircut. Whew!!!! Sometimes she wears pearls which for some reason I really find attractive. I don't know why, just something about them on her neck and wrist is appealing to me. Her conversation appeals to me as well. I know this probably sounds odd coming from a man, especially someone who prides himself on being a man, but I find myself vulnerable when I'm conversing with her.
There's another woman who worked in another department on my floor. I used to dig her in the winter because she would wear these gestapo boots. Had that Nazi thing going on. Made me want to grow my mustache and then cut it into a little box. Sometimes she wore the boots with skirts which had sort of a Mod era effect. Call me Austin Powers. She was married with at least two kids when on my floor. Sometime last year, they moved her department to another floor, and I don't see her as often. Occasionally when I see her, she always greets me as she did when still on my floor. The difference now though, is I noticed she no longer wears her wedding ring. I believe she's since gotten a divorce. I noticed her demeanor is completely different from when she was on my floor. She's a lot more bubbly and chatty which is a turnoff to me. Not that I don't find chatty women attractive, but in her case its as if she lost some of her sophistication. She lacks the sultry disposition since becoming a part of the meat market again.
There's a pioneer in my hall that I find attractive, and I always said I'd never get romantically involved with a pioneer. After seeing the marriage between my folks, and my dad's complaints that mom is never around because she's too busy pioneering, I vowed to never marry a pioneer. Plus I've heard other brothers say as much. At any rate I slipped up and told this pioneer that she's attractive, but I did it in a non-hitting on kind of way. It was at an event, so I did it casually. Any way her folks visited my hall from out of town. Her mom......scandalous as Morris Day would have said. She's in her late 40s to early 50s, and dresses very sophisticated and stylish, especially for a JW female. I read the WT that day, and she approached me later and complimented my reading. My field service group was to clean and secure the hall that day. So I was trying to kick the few stragglers left out so I could lock up and go home as I was tired. Thats when I ran into her in the lobby. She gave me the compliment, and I complimented her comment at the WT Study. I walked her outside where I met her husband, a nice enough fellow. He went and pulled the car up for her, and I chatted briefly with her. I then opened the door for her to get in, and said goodbye to both of them. I can tell she was used to having the car door opened for her. She knew the routine too well, as if she expected to be pampered. I aint mad at her though. Her daughter appears to be staying with our congregation, so I imagine I'll see her mom again. Life has its blessings at times.

And because of your fear of man, you could have blood on your head.
If you had gone back and shared the Good News with him, his heart may have been affected and he could have become one of our faithful brothers. Imagine - you could have given this experience from the convention stage, gotten everyone engrossed in the story and then said, "and I'm happy to say that when I returned on the RV, this man was responsive...he's here today to get baptized..." thunderous applause yaaaayyyyyy...
LOL, I've justified it by saying well they're Asian, and there is a Chinese Resteraunt less than a block from this house. At the same time, maybe they were Triads. I don't know.....I'll be fearful of man in this instance LOL
