I was thinking since the Japanese have removed all traces of religion from Christmas, does that mean that that Japanese Witnesses can follow their conscience and choose whether they wish to celebrate or not with no threat of punishment? I know, its a stupid question, just sayin.......

WT Society's Sly Guilt & Fear Tactics on Young People in Nov.15th WT
by flipper inas many on this board are aware- the wt society is losing younger members in big numbers.
statistics show that 2 out of 3 jw's raised in the cult leave between the age of 18 to 35. so like they always do- if the wt society sees a " need " or " problem " arising they address it in wt study articles.
thus notice how manipulative the wt society uses fear, guilt, and put down type comments to intimidate young jehovah's witnesses in this wt study article in nov. 15th issue.. under the titled article " young ones - what will you do with your life ?

I haven't even read the article, and probably won't. Nothing new under the sun with the WT and education. When I was in high school, I really didn't apply myself too hard because I thought the end would be here. Now I'm in my thirties. I never bothered taking the SATs because I knew I wasn't going to college anyway. Not to mention my parents advised against taking those tests. I wish I could go back to middle school and high school. The things I would have done differently. Granted I'm not starving by any means. Being single with no kids and working class is alright with me. I prefer a blue collar enviroment anyway. I'm doing ok in life, but I always regret and wonder what my life would have been like if it wasn't for those filthy, rotton, dispicable old men in Bethel influencing my parents. They really did a number on my life. I hate those old bastards, and that is no lie.

shameless bump for the weekenders....
YNot, let me ask you something. There's some confusion as to the context of their resolution of DF'd adult relatives and how they're to be treated. Are they saying, they don't want us to be too extreme in how we shun DF'd relatives? Or are they saying we shouldn't be too extreme in spending more time with DFd relatives?

Somebody already posted Eddy Grant. I had the hardest time finding his discography at record stores and online. His stuff is out of print. A couple blogs helped me out though. I had this song on repeat after hearing the first time.

This isn't really reggae per say, but the sample is, and his flow pays homage to reggae. In middle school we were all wearing Raiders and Kings stuff because of these fellas, and I've never been to L.A..

Very nice, Misery, never have heard that one before. When were you in high school?
graduated either 94 or 95, I can't recall. This was hot back then too.

Misery,
I only read your first few sentences, then I realized that you are a disrespectful, rude person and chose to ignore you.
Good day.
LW
It costs you nothing, pay me no mind.

Joliette's mom says: 'Can you imagine how good sex is gonna feel in the new system?' WTF?

Miseryloveselders: Mom just said it to me in the middle of a phone convo one day. I'm like what in the world, she is truly drunk off the JW kool aid. Is there an Awake or Watchtower on this? Its good that she was being honest, it just sounded kinda weird to me.
I wonder if da judge rutherford ever have articles on sex in the new system? Or nathan Knoor?
thats just weird. Maybe she was reading the Song of Solomon or something? I'm at work, but going off of memory, I can't ever recall an article praising sex, and how wonderful it will be in the Noo Sistum. Where's Blondie at?

Doesn't this say something for the WTS when people on this board have to have discussions as to what is meant? If the people here cannot make nor tail of it, what hope for the R & F?
George
LOL True. One thing though is this is second hand information, so the meaning maybe lost in translation.
