  ELDERS CAUGHT IN EMBASSERING SITUATIONS

  I can top yours.

  One of our Elders was late coming to the meeting, (school servant) and ran the stop sign just before the KH. A cop flipped on the lights and followed him into the KH parking lot to give him the ticket with lights continually on.

  Someone came in and said , "guess who's getting a ticket in the parking lot?" Several went out to see.

  But wait, it gets better!!

  The meeting needs to start and the School Servant is now delayed. The PO is PISSED!!

  Tells me to start the meeting. So I do while the School guy comes in during the Instruction Talk.

  There's more!!

  After the #1 he takes the stand and you can see he's mad, but blames the cop, "who must surely hate JW's to do such an awful thing to him."

  I turn to the PO to gauge his reaction. He's covering his face with his hands and head bowed. I'm now about to burst into laughter so I go to the bathroom to let it out. The PO follows me. We are laughing silently, almost to the point of gagging. I'm banging the wall with my fist.

  What makes this story better is the Elder is one SR who claims to be of the annointed and is always judging others.

  i just sent off my resume for a job.. i have a pretty good recommendation already .

  and know three people that work there.. but these young ones just out of college .

  Do You Really Trust The Police?

  in the local paper there are 2 different towns that are dealing with possible police misconduct.

  one situation involves thousands of dollars worth of pot stolen from the police locker where the drugs were supposed to be safe.

  now the feds and state are involved in finding out who was responsible for the theft.

  The story is true. And ICE was involved. This is Arizona, the local Police on a regular basis raid and set up road blocks to catch undocumented. Then trasnfer to ICE.

  Have you heard of our Sherriff Arpaio? He's famous nationally for doing this.

  What exactly are JWs unique in?

  the wt will make the assertion that the witnesses have the truth (i.e.

  are god's org) due to a huge laundry list of items.

  of course, this ignores the fact that their teaching is that they were appointed over jesus earthly belongings in 1919. but, lets roll with it...the witnesses have the truth because they do not:.

  my wifes biggest complaint about the jw's is what they do to families, they tear them apart.

  whether for disfellowsipping, or the so-called bad association, the gb needs to separate them from you, so you won't separate yourself from the gb.. she laments that her bestess of friends from childhood was taken away from her by the jw's.

  My wifes biggest complaint about the JW's is what they do to families, they tear them apart. Whether for disfellowsipping, or the so-called bad association, the GB needs to separate them from you, so you won't separate yourself from the GB.

  She laments that her bestess of friends from childhood was taken away from her by the JW's. True, she tried to witness to her after college but Debbie respectfully listened and decided it wasn't for her. As we all know, its at that point, a 'good' JW will cut off that friend, and she did.

  Now to the present. My daughter sets up mom on Facebook. Within a week my wife notices a mutual friend, Debbie and invites her to connect. After pleasantries, my wife lowers the bombshell, "I'm no longer a JW". Debbie is floored and wants to find out why? The emails fly back and forth, past histories are shared, a renewed friendship has formed, and tighter than ever.

  Since they were separated, both have raised families, both have retired, both have seen their parents pass on. A lifetime of experiences has been missed because of the JW's. But as powerful as Jehovah's organizaton is, in the end it wasn't powerful enough to keep two good friends from re-uniting.

  They live a long ways from each other and yet have already planned a reunion in Laguna Beach, California where they vacationed as kids.

  Do you have any old friends you would like to link up with, that the JW's separated you from? Old friends from school daze? Facebook can be a nice tool to find that friend.

  I like your reasoning OTWO, especially about the 'spirit-directed' GB.

  At least the Mormons are honest and say they have a prophet, while the JW's claim , "no, they are not inspired", but then define it every other way. In fact, the GB puts themselves above the scriptures in requiring obedience to them over non-scriptural matters.

  Your line is funnier than mine. Shame on YOU.

  The last CO that we actually liked was late in getting his assignment. I told him to write Bethel and ask what the problem was. He said you don't do that. He was older and getting worried.

  So, dissed thought it would be fun to send him a phoney letter, which I did. It was perfect with all the proper logos. We had him out of the work and reccomending with his contacts he could make a good living selling Amway. Followed with a chastisement of 'you should have written us and showed you cared sooner". Then quoting the women begging the unrightious judge for a decision.

  Yes he thought it was funny and with all seriousness shared it at our Elders meeting like it was genuine.

  these are midis of songs from musical notation recorded in ancient texts.

  it's nothing like what you can download and stuff your hard drive with, but it's interesting to hear what might have been performed thousands of years ago.

  i like the first song a lot and the athenaios one is pretty creepy.
