Could you be DF'd for holding hands during prayer?
by dissed inyes you can, if....you are brazen about it.. as we were disciussing on another thread, inserting 'brazen' for 'loose conduct' in the new elder handbook, can open a world of excuses to disfellowship someone.. just read between the lines of this new, 'expanded explanation'.. "elders, are you tired of ones defying your authority?
ignoring your counsel?
countering your illogical reasoning on beard growing, showing affection during prayers, etc....then embarrassing you infront of others?

Don't leave, its God's organization....
by dissed inrecently, i've been seeing this argument displayed here more frequently by those still believing jw's.. usually in reply to arguments they can not answer well, like 1914, generation(s), etc.... its almost like, they are are having serious doubts as well, but their fall back is, "but its god organization....where else would you go......don't leave, we are so close to the end".
as one recently shared their experience with a jc.
the elders, when feeling trapped on explanations, fell back to this defense.

How many JW's are doing bad things each year worthy of being DF'd?
by dissed infor a religious group that claims to be above reproach, with a self proclaimed, excellent reputation for godliness, i don't feel that claim is quite true.. in fact, i think its a sham to make those assertions.
they trully should not feel they are different from any organized group, when it comes to its members following righteous standards.
true, the wt would like all to believe they are clean and morally straight, that they are different and not tainted from the world.

She whispered into her ear, "I have a demon"
by dissed insome of you may have remembered me describing my wife's sister having serious mental problems.. its been a source of great discouragement to the entire family because her husband (a devout jw) has refused to get her help.
in fact, blaming it all on the demons, and we being the ones who introduced them, because of our leaving the wt.
well, to everyons surprise on friday, they came to a family dinner, this is very rare.

Don't buy anything at the meat market or yard sales or else you could turn out like me?
by dissed ini don't know how this happened and how they met, but a relative, a jw elder and my old po talked about us leaving the wts.
(he said this to my wife).
they reasoned, how could someone, who was a pioneer, bethelite, worked at the rbc, district and circuit level, taught at the pioneer school, helped dozens to baptism, suddenly and inexplicably, leave jehovah's organization?.

Who owns the Kingdom Halls?
by dissed ini only ask this because when in, our kh was on leased tribal land and the local jw's could never really get title.
in fact it was difficult to secure a loan from the wts, so we got one privately because of that.
they didn't like the part in the tribes contract that said they could take the building if we didn't fullfill our charter with them and it had to be listed with some local native americans of that tribe and not the elders.
