  How's this for Progress?

  last year i gave the memorial talk, this year for the first time in my entire life i won't even be going.. i guess that missing the memorial will definitely put us on the elder's radar, so i am expecting the elders to be concerned an interrogation.

  .

  i was going to use the excuse that i will be in a different part of country, but i won't be and i will be at work with at least 3 other jw's in a neighbouring congregation.. .

  Well cantleave, you can always say, you didn't go because you didn't receive an invitation.

  "I thought you didn't want us to come brother 'concerned Elder'. We never received our invitation"

  Ruining it for everyone else

  i was chatting with a born-again friend of mine, who just moved to north carolina.

  we worked in the post office together and he got transfered to nc.. we were talking about witnesses and he told me that at his office there is a jw.

  this is what happened.. at the office they have a cd player and so they decided they would take turns playing a particular style of music each day.. my friend said, the jw had no problems with rap and its explicit lyrics, or the rock with his sex and drugs, but the moment they play contemporary christian music she caught a fit and they shut down the whole thing because of her complaint.

  One elderly JW friend said her parents, Anointed JW's had no problem listening to traditional Christian music on the radio. They thought it was beautiful. My how things have changed with the WT!

  A concerned JW parent to their kids. "Turn that Jesus music off! Don't you know its from Satan the Devil?!"

  for the last 13 years, we haven't attended and didn't even care about it.

  but since we became card carrying members of jwn in september, we have an interest in what are friends here on jwn are doing.. for us?

  we will be watching 'dancing with the stars'.

  Its a play on politicians boasting that they are a 'Proud card carrying member of the NRA' (National Rifle Association)

  For the last 13 years, we haven't attended and didn't even care about it. But since we became card carrying members of JWN in September, we have an interest in what are friends here on JWN are doing.

  For us? We will be watching 'Dancing with the Stars'. Not even a thought about the JW ritualistic memorial service.

  But what are your plans? Are you going? And if you are, why? To please family, your mom makes you, curious, etc...?

  Are you staying home? Secretly partaking?

  Let us know. No judging, just curious.....

  they had better wine glasses at this hall, but otherwise everything was the same.

  we had one at our hall last year.

  so the people in the side rows get to hold the wine glass twice.

  The NT is clear, that Christians are to partake, but the JW's are the only group that denies and forbids most of its members from doing. And does so in such a glaring fashion.

  As usual, another good question....

  Dressing good was important for her. But for me, purchasing a new tie was an exciting event. New tie = sexy

  Truthfully, we were more concerned with the restaurants we were eating at in the evenings.

  i am so disgusted right now, more with myself than anything.. we have this big albertsons grocery store monopoly game going where i live.....the more of certain products you buy, the more tickets you receive.

  not only are there instant winners, but then you enter codes on line.. ha....after 2 months, i've won $5.00 and a bottle of clorox beach.

  i have spent more than i ever would have normally.
