Iam aware the internet will be a danger to to my kid. (His only 4 now)
Iam concerned of him being exposed to internet gambling and of course other unhealthy sites.

Sorry to pick on you. But when you say they truly believe what they believe. Why not treat the GB members as individuals. The responsibility of guilt is singular not plural. Why do you judge them as a Governing Body and not as individuals.

When a person feals they have the right to infringe upon anothers spirituality they are guilty of trying to control that person.
Anyhead of any organisation is" Brainwashed" to some degree. They are still held accountable for the consequences of their actions.
Sadly for some reasons heads of religeouse organisations can get away with MURDER and are not held accountable.
To me the GB have killed many of their members and destroyed many lifes and families through their policies.
My personal fight has always been with the Elders in my former congregation.Because I feal its personal with them. I know they dont believe but crave the power.And I know the blood guilt and ruining of lifes doesnt bother them. They clearly have desencetised their concience same as the G.B.

In my opinion their are no redeeming aspects to their guilt. It will be interesting how this thread may find ecsquses for them-

most christians assume that the gift of salvation is free.. but gods promises are very conditional and the word "if" is used nearly 1600times in the bible.. the bible is an "iffy" book and the promises of god very conditional.. i would be interested in a christian perspective as to why they think salvation is a free gift-.

The primary salvation promise in the bible is John .3.16 which says
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believs in him shall not perish but have eternal life"
However John 3-16 does not say that salvation is a free gift because it contains a "IF" statement. You will not perish if you belive in me.This is a partial statement because Just acknowledging that Jesus is Lord is not sufficient even Satan does that. The John 3.16 statement is further clarifiefd in the word where it says you must not only accept Jesus is Lord but you must submit yourself to him.(Something Satan doesnt do) So Gods promises are conditional they are only free"IF" you obay certain conditions.
The word "IF" is used approx 1600 times in bible verses -It is a well used word in the bible and it places conditions on Gods promises.
