Matt,
The Washington Times uses a different web address. The real address is www.washingtontimes.com
Actually, it is the same site. Here is the same article under the other domain name: http://www.washingtontimes.com/national/20020817-704732.htm
So, yeah, as everyone suspected it is a joke or maybe a hoax
The rest of the site is certainly a genuine news source, with the same articles you can find elsewhere. I am afraid it is not a hoax. Not intentionally from the newspaper, anyway. Think someone has been pulling their legs?
So, Elsewhere, no need to be ashamed

What did Bleep Say?
by ISP inbleep said something critical of bill bowen....the post was deleted.
did it use profanity/unaccepted curse words?
deleting stuff is ok......but the board can deal with it, especially posters like 'bleep'.

As I remember it:
Bleep put up a hypothetical situation where JW parents find out their child has been abused by another dub. They take it to the elders. The elders, in this scenario, advices the parents to take it to the police (correct me if i am wrong). One of the parents wants to contact Bill Bowen. Bill Bowen just says "dateline! dateline! dateline!"
I interpreted Bleep as accusing Bill Bowen of putting his desire to obtain anti-WTS publicity ahead of the interests of the victims.
It was put in a lame context, but it is surely a concern that should be raised, and I am sure Bill Bowen has given much thought to balancing the needs of individual victims against the fact that it can help thousands if some few strong individual victims dare go public. And that seems to be what has happened.
Thus Bleep's accusation falls flat, but censoring Bleep's opinion surely makes us look like the apostate flipside of JW Zone. It is shameful and pathetic.

Bonsai? Yikes. See http://www.bonsaikitten.com/
Initial insertion, with aid of Alessi shoehorn. Kitten has been given muscle relaxant 30 min. prior to insertion process.
After 1 week, using proprietary airhole/feeding tube technology. Notice the conformal shaping accelerated through the use of calcium sequestering agent to soften bone structure. After 1 month skull will attain complete conformity to flat surface resulting in the desirable "bonsai kitty" expression.
Rear aspect, revealing excellent sealing properties of Super Glue. No leakage has ever occured with proper application. Thus, fur remains soft and tail attains beautiful convolutions as the months pass!

Non believers in god please.
by Monster ina poster( don't ask who said, it i don't want argument with the person) here implied a while ago that many of the xjw here no longer believe in god because they cannot accept the "fact" that they willl be destroyed during armageddon.
in other words you are looking for ways to discredit that you ( you.
meaning anyone) will be destoryed.

JanH
Sheesh, gravedancer. You said everything I planned to write.
I can only concur. It is not my choice to not believe in God. I just don't. The reason is I have seen nothing even resembling actual evidence for a god, and I am just not good at fooling myself anymore.
Of course when you don't believe God exists, you are not afraid God will kill you in Armageddon.

DO U BELIEVE IN LIFE AFTER DEATH?
by Mary ineven though we were all raised with the firm doctrine that absolutely nothing happens to you after death, (except for those baptized before 1935 of course), does anyone here think that maybe something does happen after we die?
i've seen some programs about people that have reported having near death experiences.
while this doesn't offer proof, i find it very strange that one individual, during her nde, repeated a conversation she heard on an entirely different floor in the hospital while she was clinically dead.

Considering what we know about our mind being the result of electrical and chemical processes in the physical brain, I cannot possibly believe that our conscious self can survive the death of the body.

Pro-Life or Pro-Choice--HELP
by Quincy inok...3 days ago, i found out that i was going to be a father!!
good new right?
well then she says that she is considering having an abortion...which i am totally against....so we discussed it...then she started to think that she might have the child....so she talked it over with her twin sister...and she told her to get the abortion...now she says she wants the abortion...now i am upset...not onlly does she want the abortion...but she wants me to pay for the entire thing...so not only am i going to be terminating a developing life...but i have to pay for it????
-
JanH
amac,
These questions are getting tricky
Indeed. That is why I would never (or almost never) encourage abortion. I do strongly support a woman's right to chose to have an abortion. She has to live with it, after all, during and after. Those dark age fundies who insist on intruding on others' rights should, to put a spin on a silly slogan, be content with supporting their own goddam family! It's an ethical dilemma, and narrow-minded laws should not intrude.
Quincy,
Glad to hear. Congratulations! This is where the hard work starts for you

Alternative Words
by teenyuck inin the interest of keeping things "clean" i am attempting to use other words when i want to use american slang, or curse words.
for instance, the word fucx is apparantly banned here now.
i have found some words, in other languages that mean the same thing...the hard part will be trying to figure out what language is being used.

JanH
puffs,
Very naughty indeed! The first word is pretty garbled though, and some of them need a few extra characters.
