As soon as someone declares they are a SJW you know you are dealing with an arrogant, self-righteous condescending jackass who is determined to be unreasonable and illogical no matter what the facts.

Generally Speaking Do You Support The Police?
by minimus ini know bad cops exist in many cities.
i know some cops who aren’t “bad” but do have an attitude.
however, i prefer to have law and order as opposed to chaos.

I absolutely support the police. The number of bad actors is minuscule and the anti-police propaganda is ridiculous.

Why is Life Expectancy in the USA So Low Compared to Other Countries?
by RubaDub ini was looking at the world health org.
report and it shows the us ranks 37th in the world (tied with albania) for combined male/female life expectancy.
the top 5 were japan, switzerland, singapore, israel and spain, all around 83 years.

US statistics are skewed by inner city ghettos and illegal immigrants. These people do not have healthy life styles and do not seek medical care appropriately. All this 'diversity' hammers our statistics. You are trying to make a political point but it falls apart when you look at internal numbers.

is the watchtower cult the most hated religion ?
by stan livedeath inhated by many members of the public for their ( former ?
) door knocking and preaching at the most inopportune times ( at work for instance ).
hated by former members who are now shunned by family and former friends.. hated by thousands ( millions maybe ) of pimos who only stay for fear of losing wives / family friends.. can you name any religious cult thats even worse ?.

They desperately want to believe they are the most hated. The truth is they are not even on most people's radar. I recently had conversations with two pastors, one of whom had be active globally for decades. They had almost zero knowledge of Witnesses, had no animosity toward them and didn't find them significant in any way. The truth is the Organization has delusions of grandeur when the reality is that in the great scheme of things they are insignificant.

Counterproductive I believe. All you do is confirm their bias when you get aggressive.

Shall I disassociate myself too? I’m the only one left now.
by Theonlyoneleft inplease bear with me as this might be a long one,.
the question above has been circulating my mind for a while and i’ve been wondering if there’s anyone that thought the same or done it.. we normally associate shunning and disassociation with jehovah’s witnesses that are normally baptised, but my situation is a reversed one.. i was a bible student that left a long time ago on my own free will, never shunned never ostracised by my jw’s siblings and their families.
the years have passed and situations have arisen that has made me uncomfortable of the knowledge of particular outcomes within my siblings and families.. i’ve been thinking to stay away from my family( living in a different country ), as i don’t want to be preached on or feel out of touch and segregated by their opinions of me and my family.

Disturbed
by Jazzbo inordinarily i figure people are going to find their own way and that their life course is a matter of personal responsibility but occasionally i run into something that smacks me upside the head a little bit.
yesterday i heard something about a young man that i knew decades ago.he was from a prominent family in the organization, the father was a successful businessman and you would see them frequently on the platform at circuit assemblies, etc.
to be honest, i didn't particularly like the young man, i preferred the father, but the guy was bright and capable, we had mutual friends.

He looked like someone with a future but very much an Organization guy who pioneered and all the usual approved stuff. The father eventually quite his business and ended up in the Circuit work, I suspect that's where most of the money went. Anyhow, yesterday I heard from one of the mutual friends that he was going to be visiting the guy. Turns out that there he is, in a not particularly nice part of the country, at 73 years old and working full time at Home Depot to get enough money to support himself, still a good little Witness. I keep thinking, 73 and killing himself at Home Depot, 73 and killing himself at Home Depot!. It gives me the chills! I guess at the back of my mind there's the "but for the Grace of God there go I" thought or something. What a waste, this guy could have been so much more. I didn't even like the guy but it's just wrong that he is where he is.

So very sorry for your loss, been there and done that. They ask so little and give so much, it's always really hard but when they're in pain, or won't eat anymore a responsible owner will do the best thing he can for them rather than prolong the suffering. Even so, I still find it hard to talk about.

Why do CO's refuse to strip Elders of their position?
by Tenacious inin several congregations i attended many elders were downright evil and flat out drunk with power.. many times i personally knew of things done by them that would have been a disfellowshipping offense had they not been elders.
and even though many times these issues and spiritual atrocities were reported to the co's and hq they would many times (if not all the time), get off with a mere slap on the wrist or a forced apology.. why do you believe elders are so protected?.
my theory is the authority integrity within the congregation.

Many COs are flat out evil and drunk with power. They support kindred spirits.

Very conservative. I find the Left both dishonest and dangerous, kind of like the Organization.
