Help with Doubting BIL
by Simon Morley ini have a bil that has started to doubt.
he is hung up on the fact that he sees jw's as the only one fullfilling the preaching of the good news.
i am sure there are some excellent past posts on this topic and would be happy to get them.

Ask if he thinks the content of the modern JW message matches the first century. In the first century, the message was about Christ and release from sin.
Also, did the congregation at Ephesus run exactly like the one in Corinth or Jerusalem? Today, JW's talk about dates and uniformity to the latest GB doctrinal dart game.
In Ray Franz books, he addresses the fact that many have preached about Christ and spread Bibles for centuries before JW's ever did. It's in these lands where JW's have come along afterward and done well converting people. Others 'softened the soil' beforehand.

Herbal remedies
by Ice cream inif in the beginning when god (supposedly) created adam & eve, with the prospect of eternal life without sickness etc.
why did he create plants with medicinal values that could treat sickness & ailments?
hope that makes sense.

I last posted in mid February about my wife. We were adjusting to the new realisation of what the WTS really is.
She has since left me, and I have been reeling ever since, but now after 5 months, I'm getting back some strength. I haven't been able to post on here because I just couldn't talk about it. She didn't leave because of my violence, cheating, drinking, drugs or any of that stuff. She filed for divorce and by WTS law, I'm scriptually free but that is of little consolation at this point.
I'm on the coast near Santa Barbara and I sure would like some nice apostate friends. Who else can I really talk to about all I'm going through and why. I'm 50 now and my life has really taken a turn over the last couple years. But I'm still young and energetic and will bounce. I've started volunteering for various community organizations (homeless, nursing home, symphony, battered women, fire department, etc) I guess it's that JW feeling of needing to go out an do something, although these things actually help someone now, as apposed to pushing publishers to push literature.
This site has meant so much to me. Would love to hear from all of you, especially if you are nearby.

One time 2 of us were counting a vote on meeting times. It was important to everyone. Some wanted Thursday night, others wanted Friday night. We both counted everyone who was for Thursday night. Then, we both counted everyone with hands up for
Friday night. Even though we both had a majority for Thursday night, our figures didn't agree and I was trying to figure out what to say. So I said, "We have different numbers counted but its alright because WE'RE BOTH HIGH ON THURSDAY NIGHT."Everyone died laughing and I was teased about being a pothead for months. LOL LOL
