I avoid mentioning the GB atogether. In fact I explained in one of my talks how we are the children of God which is why Jehovah is our father. The school overseer just made some quick remark about the children of God, but no eye brows raised regarding my talk which was in WT eyes completely apostate.

by joe134cd ini have put up previous posts about this in the past, but i just thought that it was worth mentioning again.
it has to be of concern to them with how quickly information is getting leaked.
hell it even surprises at just how slowly information spreads by offical means.

sadly when i first grasped it i had a total mental breakdown as i was a hard core firm to the core pioneer and 110% believer of my faith.!
now nearly 2years on after my breakdown i still have to attend to please my jw wife.

Hi Deltawave, We all feel your pain, your frustration and anger knowing the real truth about the troof. I like yourself woke up proper about 2002/3 after reading crisis of conscience and coming across this site. I faded away for several years, but then returned determined to not be controlled the way I had been before. I have experience d through mild depression/ low mood all because of this American based religion ( no offence to Americans BTW as yearn to visit the US one day). The Australian Royal Commissions hearing into child abuse exposes that lofty self righteous arrogant attitude that The GB promote amongst the 'shepherds' of 'Gods true organisation' . That same arrogant, self righteous, proud way they displayed in the panorama video 'suffer the little children'. I still see the distraught face of that poor tearful girl explaining how she got ZERO support from her so called shepherds after she told them about her abuse. My wife knows I have apostate (actually ttatt) views, as I drip feed her information all the time about stuff in a gentle way. I have written letters to my wife and mother to explain why I will take a blood transfusion if in a life threatening situation. I also wrote explaining to them why I DO NOT want them to shun my child or myself in the hypothetical situation that I were to freely choose to leave explaining in detail why the shunning policy is inaccurate/wrong amongst JW's. I once saw a film where the rightful leader of country (which at the time was ruled by another powerful country) said...if they won't listen to the voices of the people and yet continue to impose their will over the people of that country, then we will simply ignore them! That's the view I now take with the society. They refuse to listen to the voices crying out to them to change, so I choose to ignore the parts I know or feel is wrong. I attend the KH today, but keep under the radar. In actual fact the hall I am in is a loving congregation and view them is sincere Christians though misled by a small group of men in New York. I no longer tell people at work I am a JW. I simply tell people I am a Christian and attend a local Christian Church. I now feel comfortable allying the above and keeping a low profile like thousands of others. There is plenty of advice on here and you can choose how to walk. The only advice I would give is to just be yourself and enjoy doing things with your family and friends. You can have your faith in the true sense to fill your spiritual need without the entire controlling dictates of the GB/ watchtower. I wish you all the best Delaware. TE -

Perhaps the reality is that the bubble has finally burst. That they have bitten off more than they can chew. Wrong financial advice given and so forth. I have to say I dont know what to make of everything that is going on right now. Am feeling a sense of curiosity mingled with a touch if excitement right now. -

My Mom Is Dying

she is on morphine and hanging on.
she has been a devout witness for about 60 years and a wonderful mother.

What was the strangest off-the-cuff remark you ever heard from and elder or higher appointee?
by donny ini showed up for saturday morning field service and i was partnered with an elder who had transferred to our congregation in the dallas, texas area from michigan.
i told him about a recent embarrassing moment where i had played a "worldly" song during the sunday meeting due to someone replacing the cassette i had placed in the cassette player late friday night that had the correct "kingdom melody.".
out of the blue he said "about 4 years ago i was giving the sunday talk and i kept sporting a boner from time to time which was bizarre since being horny and teaching about jehovah is typically not something one associates with one another.".

About 17 years ago when I actually believed the troof to be the truth back then. Our new CO came for his 6 monthly visit. The sisters swooned over this guy as he was single. He certainly was a charismatic character when it came to his talks. Everyone sat up and listened when he delivered a talk. Anyway, we were preparing for field service having met at an old sisters home. As can imagine the livingroom was packed. Just before he started giving some ideas to prepare us for the ministry, he was having a bit of banter with the sisters. He was standing up at the time and started doing the Elvis the pelvis type roll of his hips and then came out with 'you wanna grab hold of my love handles'!!! Well you should have seen those sisters. I will always remember the face of one sister. Her eyes just about popped out of her head, mouth wide open with her jaw just about touching the floor. That for me was probably the single most incredible totally inappropriate off the cuff moment I remember, especially the fact it was the circuit overseer; and still laugh about it to this day when I think of the look on those sisters faces :-) -

Updated online Insight book still using offensive term 'Mentally diseased'
by defender of truth inthey have made changes/updates, such as to the 'genereation' teaching, as mentioned on another thread.. and yet this mistranslated verse still remains, allowing the offensive and hateful application of it to continue.

Had to resurrect this thread again. A sister answers during the WT today; Her arm straight up , almost touching the ceiling. She said that 'Apostates are mentally repressed!!!!! and that we should avoid them like the plague'. At first, I thought oh my...that was said with zeal. Afterwards, I realised she had likely meant to say mentally diseased in line with WT/GB thought control. Also, I thought how ironic her loving answer was, as she was actually correct in saying apostates ARE mentally repressed.......as that is one major reason why earnest Christians end up having no other choice but to speak out. Yes sister, repression of thought is a frustration most witnesses experience today due to WT teaching/policy. Its unity at all cost regardless. Wheres the liberty in Christ? Where's the Christian freedom of speech? -
