Yep..where is Jesus? isn't it funny that first century Christians used to proclaim Jesus and our heavenly father at every opportunity. Today Jehovah's (Christian) Witnesses proclaim the Jehovah and the faithful discreet slave at every opportunity. Jesus now and again being mentioned of course. -

Give Barbara and Trey Bundy some assistance!
by Atlantis inhttp://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/5975535444295680/trey-bundy-one-year-reporting-jw-child-abuse-your-comments-please i learned from trey bundy last year that if cir receives positive comments about their articles on jws, they are inclined to do more.
it seems to me if we had better response by posters to the above thread which i would send trey a link to, we might see more articles.
i do know that trey has another jw article in the pipeline, but the more the better.

Thanks for highlighting this. I live in the UK, but will have a good read over Trey's articles and email him in support. I am beginning to wake up my own family as a result of something that has come to light recently in regards to child abuse. People like Trey and yourself Barbara are helping to bring this very serious issue out into the open. This is and has been much appreciated by many people. TE -

Looks like this guy now made the uk database
http://theukdatabase.com/2016/02/12/harry-holt-nelson-scotland/
It absolutely horrifies me to think that elders do not warn parents to watch the whereabouts of their child at all times at the kingdom hall when they know that a child abuser with such a historical record may be sitting feet away from them.
The elders don't even have to go as far as naming an individual if they want to keep confidentiality, but at least give the heads up to watch their child at all times, as well as association, as there is an individual to be wary off. At least parents will be a bit more alert who their children associate with.
Now knowing watchtowers inadequate policy and procedures in cases where child abuse has been alleged, as well as their lack of reporting matters to the police and allowing such individuals to continue their fellowship freely at the hall, my wife and I are now extremely careful when it comes to our child's associations at the KH,

BBC Radio 4. 14th February 2016. ''Sunday'' program with article on Witnesses and child abuse.
by ThomasCovenant inthe sunday programme investigates allegations that the jehovah's witness ordered the destruction of documents that could be used during the independent inquiry into child sexual abuse.
was this in contravention of section 21 of the inquiries act 2005 which is punishable by imprisonment?.

Incredible to think that Watchtower gave the order to all congs to destroy a lot of their data AFTER a letter had been sent by the Goddard enquiry not to destroy data that may relevant to the enquiry. It once again shows their complete lack of compliance when it comes to such genuine enquiries and a complete disregard to victims of child abuse. Absolutely disgusting. I can only imagine what God must be thinking! -

This issue will continue to haunt Watchtower over and over. The GB need to review their policy on safeguarding children and vulnerable adults otherwise confidence in the organisation will continue to wane! -

Former brother, Like I said the blood issue is a matter of conscience. Its between the individual and God. Every person should have the right to either accept or refuse blood in the event of an accident or surgical procedure. A person should not be made to feel under pressure, particularly when they may be at risk of dying. Many lives have been saved as a result of having no other option than to have a blood transfusion. Two examples come to mind. One of the girls involved in the Thorpe park ride crash last year, and who lost her leg, only survived after being administered a transfusion at the crash site. She was bleeding profusely and would have died as it took a number of hours for the emergency services to cut her free. Another example was a guy who was run over by a truck whilst cycling through the city. He had to have a massive transfusion to save his life and again would have died otherwise. Could I also add that a young lad (a JW) in England died when he refused a blood transfusion. He was knocked down by a car on his way to the shops and adamantly refused blood. The hospital deemed him mature enough to make his own decision. I think he was 15. You can google the story on line online. In my view...Jesus words ring true...'I want mercy, not sacrifice' -

Incredible documentary about the exclusive brethren and their extreme shunning policy
by Truthexplorer injust watched this remarkable documentary about the exclusive brethren here in the uk.
their shunning policy is remarkably like watchtowers policy except even more extreme.
its heartbreaking how families are torn apart by such man made policies based on their interpretation of scriptures.

I understand your point Simon, however, I found the documentary very educational, because not only did it emotionally affect me (and many others), bringing tears to my eyes, particularly in the young woman's case, but also the fact that it highlights the emotional blackmail of shunning that such groups use to keep their members captive! Another good thing about this documentary was that it actually helped sow a seed in my daughter as helped her see how crazy shunning is 'in another faith group'. I was also able to get the point over to her, by saying believe it or not, but we (JW's) also have somewhat of a similar policy, but assured her that her mother and I would never ever ever shun her in future if for example she simply chose to leave the JW's.
There is not a lot I can do to help such a group as the exclusive brethren, but as someone who is consistently active in writing letters of appeal to the heart and soul of the watchtower organisation - the GB. I am in some small way trying to change such a ruthless policy. Somewhere, right now, there will also be similar people to myself (and others) within groups like the exclusive brethren who are likewise continuously writing to their leadership to affect change on policies such as shunning. It is up to those within such organisations to actively do something NOW. It is my hope that change will happen over time just as it has happened with other organisations when put under continuous pressure.
