It's good to hear that the cold shoulder is warming up. Maybe you should "just happen" to be at your dad's house on the next cleaning day, so she will have an opportunity to say it face to face. But only if you feel comfortable doing that, of course.

The Faithful and Discreet Slave - A JW Myth
by 00DAD inprobably this topic has been dealt with before, but i'm relatively new here, so perhaps y'all will be willing to indulge me in my pursuit for clarity.
regarding the anointed, the gb recently said this: .
"we thus have no way of knowing the exact number of anointed ones on earth; nor do we need to know.

Hilarious "wardrobe worksheet" in new YPA book!
by cedars induring a quiet moment i picked the latest ypa book down from my bookshelf.
it's pretty much stayed there since my relatives came back from the latest convention.
i couldn't bring myself to see the extent to which the society is now trying to claw its way into the lives of teenagers.

I am officially 'mentally diseased' by WBT$ standards!
by punkofnice inlast night whilst i was relaxing 2 elders came to my door to tell me i am officially da'd because of my 'actions'.
they weren't specific but i have been to church and telling others about the wbt$ scandals.. i was told they thought i was rude for ignoring their letters and not attending my jc.. my reply: 'you were the rude ones for sending me hounding letters when i specifically asked you never to contact me!'.
i got a 'hurumph' from the lead eldub.. i don't remember the whole conversation but they were annoyed i kept referring to the wbt$ as 'just a big business' but i told them they were on my property uninvited so they'd have to listen to my opinion and i don't have to listen to theirs.

One of the things I asked was 'Do you think I'm mentally diseased?' They said : 'We never said that!'
Only two weeks since the article appeared, and they're already denying they said it? Is this a new record? Cedars, you have been heard!
Well played, Punk! -

The reality is that in the US the things most likely to kill the average witness are heart attack, cancer or an obesity related condition.
That says a lot. The reason for increased deaths from heart conditions, cancer and being too well-fed is that we are so unlikely to die from anything else first. Today a few dozen deaths from food poisoning are a crisis, literally front page news. Just a few generations ago, it would be nothing out of the ordinary. For great-grandma, botulism from improperly preserved food was a real threat. With all the doom-and-gloom pronouncements from fear mongers like the Watchtower, Harold Camping, politicians and the "news" industry, it's too easy to lose appreciation for how lucky we are, living in a golden age.

#1 on the list was the Millerites. The Time article neglected to mention that #9, C. T. Russell and the Watchtower, were mere imitators of their first choice.

That was rude of her! She's in somebody else's house being paid to do a job, and gets snotty with her employer's family? It's not like you were criticising her work, saying "you missed that spot".
TM, you showed a lot of restraint not giving her the boot right then and there!

What really made Apple products stand out was the heart that went into them. Even when products that didn't catch on (Newton), if it was from Apple it was obviously the work of people who cared about what they made. Steve Jobs' leadership and persona were a huge part of that. His reputation was well deserved.

perhaps still doubting whether he exists or not?.

Considering how often I precede his name with "Damn it!", that would be a bit strange.
