It may sound silly, but one thing a new NWT with a distinctive new color cover does, is to identify those who are on board with Corporate Policy. An updated Witness ID card, as it were.

Genesis 3:6 - Is it correct or incorrect?
by bytheirworks inan examination of genesis 3:6.... .
in the 2013 nwt we read: "consequently, the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was something desirable to the eyes, yes, the tree was pleasing to look at.".
in the douay-rheims bible we read: "and the woman saw that the tree was good to eat, and fair to the eyes, and delightful to behold".

New Jerusalem Bible uses both senses in the translation:
The woman saw that the tree was good to eat and pleasing to the eye, and that it was enticing for the wisdom that it could give...
Likewise, the RSV (Catholic edition) translates it as:
So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise...

Excellent points.
As long as ACA simply focuses on paying the bill, no matter how steep the price, insurers, hospitals and medical suppliers have absolutely no reason to lower their charges.
The ACA (and the British NHS, etc.) are based on two premises:
(a) That society as a whole receives less than the optimal amount of health care services, thus causing unecessary suffering and premature death.
(b) That this should be changed by subsidizing health care. ACA is intended to increase consumption of medical services, which must be paid for.
One side denies the reality of premise (a), the other of premise (b). Both sides need a dose of reality--a commodity in short supply on the banks of the Potomac River!

He is telling you how little you mean to him, whether he realizes it or not. I had a similar experience, spending our last two anniversaries alone while Ex went to week-night meetings.

Annual Meeting Instructions to MS / Elders
by jw07 inhave any elders or ministerial servants here recieved any specific instructions regarding the annual meeting?
as an ms all i have been told to do is to arrive early to "await further instruction due to the sensitive nature of my assignment".
ironically all i can imagine after hearing that a few times is dispensing cyanide laced kool aid to attendees.

You'll be issued disinfectant wipes for cleaning off the microphone, in case some evil apostate sticks a booger on it!

McDonnald [sic] bought Boeing

Other way around, actually. Boeing bought McDonnell-Douglas. It was a bad deal IMO, at least for commercial aircraft (military contracts may be the reason Boeing made that deal). The DC10/MD11 and DC9/MD80 were dated and uneconomical designs, and there were no viable replacements in the pipeline. I agree in part with your criticisms re. outsourcing, but there are good non-technical, non-financial reasons for doing it. Foreign content helps to close deals for foreign sales. All else being equal, a national (government controlled) airline is more likely to buy aircraft from a company would buys airplane parts from their factories than one that doesn't. If Airbus buys from them and Boeing doesn't, none of the order will be built in Everett--because Boeing isn't going to get the business. Since there are more international sales opportunities than domestic these days, Boeing really can't afford to not outsource work to qualified foreign suppliers.
