it is good that the comments are still going though and there is sanity occasionally.

i love the guy's comments: "everyone knows that dubs are the most honest people on the planet. that is just common sense" LOL

Can Satan enter your mind if you stop thinking?

as a kid, my brilliant pioneering mother told me that if i stopped thinking, satan and his demons could enter my mind.

no i heard it too. especially in connection with hypnotism or any other thing that causes you to lose control of your own mind. then the demons will immediately jump in and take over.

My JW mum is in hospital

my poor mum fell over on sunday and broke her hip.

she was taken to hospital and yesterday had an operation to place a pin in the joint.

this was obviously a worrying time for all concerned and my dad let us all know what was going on.

man i couldnt get thru many of those posts. some of them are so completely moronic its not even funny. that cruzing guy is such a fanboi he is obviously a witness. his reason that the dubs lost: they had a 'good' lawyer and the judge was biased

Just had my first JW call at my house.

so i'm having a quite morning and then "ding" goes the front bell.. not expecting anyone, saturday morning 11:00am.. go to the door look out the window and see briefcases.. i open the door not knowing what i would say or do.. .

it's old terry the elder and his sidekick 25-30 male.. i knew terry from my childhood.

he gave many talks at conventions.

read the article more closely. here is the crux:

Identical bills in both houses of the New York State Legislature would require all New York–based websites to “remove any comments posted on his or her website by an anonymous poster unless such anonymous poster agrees to attach his or her name to the post.”

the state of new york can only enforce this law on any website that is hosted on an ISP WITHIN the state's jurisdiction. last i checked, new york state is a pretty small place compared to the rest of the world.

is this site hosted in new york state? if not, simon can tell them to get lost as they would be unable to enforce the law. especially if the website was hosted OUTSIDE the usa.

besides, if you read further you see why they are doing it:

Finally, the legislation will help cut down on the types of mean-spirited and baseless political attacks that add nothing to the real debate and merely seek to falsely tarnish the opponent’s reputation by using the anonymity of the Web. By removing these posts, this bill will help to ensure that there is more accurate information available to voters on their prospective candidates, giving them a better assessment of the candidates they have to choose from.

has nothing to do really with so-called internet bullying but more to do with them trying to control information for the voting public.
