Unconditional love?
by Snoozy inwhatever happened to "unconditional love"?.
why is it today so many are willing to shun a friend or relative because they are just too much trouble or they do something that irritates them.... they claim that the other person is "not healty for them" or "harmful to their mental health" be it a relative or a goof friend.
too ready to write them off so to speak.. what happened to the kind of unconditional love that loves in good and bad times..... i don't get it... i guess "unconditional love" doesn't exist anymore.

I agree with caliber. I can think of something anyone could do that would make me not love them anymore... I don't know how it could be any other way unless you are a) masochistic, b) insane or c) don't have quite as morbid of an imagination as I do. Of course, I'm completely open to the possibility that unconditional love is just not something I have been priveleged to experience myself.

Repent because God's Kingdom has drawn close!
by Kosonen inhere on this forum there are so many sinners, many here are doing things that will bring god's wrath upon themselves.
consider yourself if you in some aspect fit the description in romans 1:28-32:.
and just as they did not approve of holding god in accurate knowledge, god gave them up to a disapproved mental state, to do the things not fitting, filled as they were with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, badness, being full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malicious disposition, being whisperers, backbiters, haters of god, insolent, haughty, self-assuming, inventors of injurious things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, false to agreements, having no natural affection, merciless.

Do you believe in Miracles?
by Snoozy indo you believe in miracles?
i know a lot of strange healings and such occur but why should it happen to one person and not another?
makes me doubt that real miracles exist... praying for someone..why should one person be prayed for and survive and another one prays and doesn't survive..is god choosey?.

Definitions of Miracle:
1. A surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is considered to be divine.
2. A highly improbable or extraordinary event, development, or accomplishmentI definitely believe in the second definition, but I haven't seen/heard/read any credible evidence of the first.
EDIT: It's kind of sad when going in and editing the HTML for something is easier than using the pre-defined buttons.

Are you sure leaving the JW religion has made your life better?. Lurkers think twice
by mankkeli inon this forum, i have carefully read most of the experiences of those who left the jw religion, i have even read experiences that have dated back to 2001, i have read the different circumstances surrounding their exits and what ensued upon leaving.
for the majority, i observed they are better remainning in the religion than leaving.
what benefit is there to strain family relationship because you want to be free?, please tell me, of what value is that freedom?,.

Yea, but Bible God, Quran God and Jewish God are still around while all those ancient god(dess)s are forgotten. So there's more to say for the newbie gods than the old timers.
You might be suprised at the number of Polytheists around. If it's still known to history (though it is fair to say that quite a few aren't) then someone is still worshipping it. -

Do You Believe It Is Wrong To "Discipline" Your Child In A Physical Way?
by minimus inmy grandkids were being mouthy and they learned a new phrase, "shut your mouth".
it could be directed to their parents, grandparents or anyone who said something they didn't like.
they are 2 and 4 years old and beautiful children.

I think that it all depends on the situation. Spanking your child because they won't stop crying is abuse. Forcibly holding your child down because if you don't they are going to kill someone isn't (I have seen this happen first hand... Not pretty). Of course, from what I understand, the current research in child development suggests that spanking or any physical discipline may have negative effects on the child's emotional and intellectual development, so as such it should probably only be used as a last resort, IMHO.

Oooooooh... Nice one. I was going to suggest an imprint on our DNA that when read through an electron microscope read "Made in Heaven", but I like LeavingWT's answer.
If God came down to Earth and started performing miracles (without the help of any technology), I might be convinced, but I would never quite know for sure if it was God or some alien with scientific knowledge well beyond our own... But I would take the God-Alien on faith at that point. It's a bit of a stretch of the imagination for me because the concept of God is so unlikely that the proof would have to be extremely robust.
EDIT: I could use $100, as well.
