@Botchtower Society: Your welcome. It's a lot of fun, and tells a pretty great story.
@Flying High Now: Can you suggest any more concept LPs/albums? I don't know very many... Just 2112 and Opheliac, and I love them both.
my fiancee and i were discussing what rush's 2112 is.
for those of you that don't know, 2112 is a piece, about 20 minutes long, divided into 7 movements.
we can't quite agree on what to call it... "song" doesn't live up to the full effect, as it has more in common with an oratorio than a pop song.

if you like video games even a little, you owe it to yourself to check this out:.
humble indie bundle.
basically, it's a collection of 8 excellent games from independent developers, for which you can pay any price you want (yes, as low as $0.01).. i've played two of them (braid and limbo) and they were fantastic.
VEEEERY nice collection. Thanks for the heads up!

Also, music thread.
jws hate satan's "magic", but they love and look forward to jehovah's "miracles.
" if these things really do exist, then how is one action any different then the other?
i mean, it's "magic" to creat life, a universe, animals, and many other countless "miracles" that the bible speaks of.
I've been thinking about this lately, too. The miracles of Jehovah and the magic of Satan are functionally identical. The issue is the source of power. The irony is that, according to the JWs, Jehovah is a lot less giving than Satan is.
Who's your God now?
YES.
there are too many individual activities to enumerate, but all of the extra-curricular, bad-association oriented activity that taught life skills, people skills and survival skills are symbolized by sparlock.
scouting, ballroom dancing, exchanging valentines, sports, chess, clubs and school politics are just a few.. academic achievement is another.
jwism undermines that, to be sure.
So true... I was thinking about that earlier today, as well.
i can't believe i just now heard of this.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ml2oa4oigvo.
.
enjoy!.
Those are literally the saddest people I've ever seen. They go around acting like someone died.
EDIT: WAIT A SECOND... DID THAT 10 YEAR OLD OR YOUNGER GIRL JUST ASK ABOUT SUICIDE?
i'm on a rock kick again, and i never realized how much i adore songs with crazy horns.
i've always loved horns in hip-hop, (work by gang-starr is a must hear even for non-rap lovers if you can appreciate horns), but i want to really explore horns as used in other genres, particulary classic rock.
plus there's a song i heard years ago that i can't seem to locate and can't even recall any of the words or its melody, just that i loved it at the time.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horn_(instrument)
I've always been bothered by the use of the word "horns" for the wind section in a rock/jazz band, because the horn is actually an instrument in its own right... So I tried finding some songs that feature the actual instrument.
Though while we're on the subject of "horns"...

EDIT: And there's nothing per se wrong with calling it a horn section or horns. It's common usage. lol

Actual horns are extremely rare. I managed to find two examples on YouTube:

EDIT: Found another one. LOL. Just feeling contrary right now for some reason.
how long ago was your last argument?
what was it about?
was it worth it?.
lol. I'll play.
Two days ago, with my fiancee's sister-in-law, I had an argument about whether or not the "dickwolves" incident was representative of the character of the Penny Arcade creators. Honestly, arguing with her is never worth it. She has a very us-versus-them attitude, where she divides everyone up between people who agree with her and bigots.... Though it is fun to ruffle her feathers.
