If time travel exists
by sabastious inif time travel exists then our past has likely been traveled to and possibly altered.
even though we haven't found a way to harness time doesn't mean that someone will at some point in time if time travel is indeed possible.. so hypothetically, if time travel is real, where do you think people traveled back in time, already, and for what reason?.

Yay! Finally 2 Jdubs at my door.
by cyberjesus inso i was posting on the forum and 2 neatly dressed jws came.
they didnt know who i was so i opened the door.... .
they started with their regular fear inspiring statements that god will destroy the "world", so i asked if he was gonna destroy me..... and thats where the fun started.

What will the excuse be?!?
by brotherdan inso we've all heard the ramblings of obves and larsinger about the coming end of the world this year or next.
i want to know what you think the exuses will be when they do not come.. harold camping is the one proclaiming may 21, 2011 as the time of the rapture and october 21, 2011 as the end of the world.
when no one disappears on may 21st, what do you think his excuse will be?

At least the end of the world will give me an opportunity to play Pokémon Black and White.
He'll probably say something about a merciful God giving the world another chance... Or maybe he'll just gloss over it with another prophecy.

Home schooled....I know that isn't a factor in the killing, so I don't mean to offend anyone who does this, but just to point out many J.W. kids are home schooled, or their parents would like them to be.
I don't know... Home school could very well be a factor. I've met people like that, and they're usually extremely abused emotionally, and about ready to go crazy. EDIT: That's taking into consideration the rest of the way he was described. There are a lot of homeschool people that are fine, but he seemed to be in a high control situation without any outside socialization.
I think the "branch off of the W.T. tree" goes the other way, myself.

I'm a new study, need advice.
by Resistance is Futile ina little background on me, i have never been a jw.
my spouse was born and raised in the cult, disfellowshipped as a young adult and is now completely shunned by family still trapped inside.
before i met my spouse i knew very little about the jws.

I don't know anything off the top of my head that could help you get through... Though I will say get ready for a rough ride. Both of my most recent girlfriends have had to deal with my JW parents, and neither of them came through without any battle scars. It's hard to live a lie like that, and I wish you much luck.

@Razziel: I think that's a symptom of the problem. There isn't as large of a pool of women interesting in engineering to draw from, so when there is a quota to fill (for appearences sake or otherwise), the ones who take up the slots tend to be stupider than the men who are facing a more competitive entrance. It also means that the women who ARE as or more intelligent than their male counterparts have to work harder in order to prove themselves. Encouraging more women to enter the field solves both problems.
EDIT: And letting people slide on their classes is bad no matter how you slice it.
