i want to talk about my story because i need help and advice and most impirtant a lot of comfort.. one year and a half ago i met a wonderful guy.
he was really nice and supporyed me during hard moments.
i slowly fell in love with him.

Maybe one day you will be able to look back and see he has actually spared you much wasted time and pain which are an unavoidable part of this cult where parents reject their own children if they choose to leave the cult.
That having been said, it is natural to grieve over lost love.
only in a "new world" like world the above claim wouldn't make sense.

how do we measure if a particular philosophy is helpful or harmful?.
i am going to use the "universal morals" listed here.
I'm wondering if the framework and intent of the user is what really determines how Jesus' teachings are used and the outcome (good vs evil).

i'm pretending the gb decided to hire a ceo to combat dwindling membership and overall apathy.

1. Anyone is free to leave the organization without shunning
2. Get rid of JCs.
3. Focus explicitly on the "unabridged gospel" or "full Good News"
4. Revert to being a book publishing company
5. Convert KHs to community service centres

sometimes i have to recheck my motives for doing things.. sometimes i do things for the pure joy of it...dance, yoga, nature walk, listen to music, read something interesting, etc.
but, sometimes when i am engaged in something, like college studies(which i do for the end result and also enrichment), i get flashes of my past that creep in that remind me of a negative message, and it makes me wonder if one of my motives is to also prove something about my self.
at times i recall my ex-husband calling me 'stupid' or 'dumb'.
One imagines we all yearn for kindness.
I'm wondering if it is fair to observe that while few know how to initiate kindness, most know how to reciprocate.
If so, "all" we have to do is continually spread kindness to receive it back.
well, had a loooooooong conversation with the missus again after being accused of being overly critical of the borg.. .
i stated that i thought the borg was marvellous, full of really good people, (in our experience, it has been so far), but that i had difficulty with the dogmatic stance we had on certain issues that we couldn't possibly be sure about, and that if i were to vocalise any of these issues and unrepentantly not change my thinking, then i could be df'd for that, which i view as an unloving bullying tactic.
organ transplants, vaccinations, (jah will resurrect, don't worry), new understandings of the fads and generations etc... particularly the thought that only jw's will be saved.
In the end it could be quite powerful if a simple question helped her to reason and see for herself.
Whatever works though.
