Welcome spbondgirl007, and great letter, which makes it clear you are not of their sort (thank goodness).

Disfellowed on 7/16/14 for sending a letter to my former congregation
by spbondgirl007 init's been quite a while since i lasted posted anything on jwn.
i was in hiding previously, but only because i wanted to avoid the shun gun until i had the opportunity to tell my former congregation what i think about the org./gb.
i last attended a meeting over 2.5 years ago but it wasn't until june--when i earned my bachelor's degree--that i finally had the time to collect my thoughts and get them down on paper...i decided to write my letter in a style i felt would be most appealing to my target audience--jw's still under gb mind control --in the hope that at least a few would read it and actually "think".

hello everyone
by purrpurr ini've been browsing the site for some time as things that the society teach just are not adding up much these days.
by exploring some of the threads on here i'm starting to see why.

What ABibleStudent said about helping others think (and reason) critically instead of telling them what you have found or believe.
Most especially those family members you'd rather not lose...
Always ask, never tell...
Always try to use "objective language".
Never attack or touch their idols (GB, FDS, Watchtower, ruling religious clergy class and hierarchy).
It may also be important to know or find out what is important to a particular family member to help you choose your question.
"What is the gospel in one word?" was the clincher for me on so many levels, and led to a voluntary full-on transformation in my thinking and beliefs. The integration, wholeness and clarity that followed is indescribable...
Now I love simple, short but profound questions.
"Is legalism apostasy?" (Impossible to answer correctly unless one is very clear on what these two words really mean)
"Is moralism apostasy?" (The same as above)
"Is the word faithS scriptural?" (The word never appears in scripture which instead speaks of only "one faith". Doctrinal beliefs, which the Watchtower holds out as faith, is not a fruit of the Holy Spirit, but rather something that emanates from man.)
"What is a prophet in one word?" (No, it is not a foreteller)
"What is a prophecy in one word?" (No, it is not a prediction)

Hello
by lurkernomore ini thought it was high time to introduce myself (without my name of course).
as my name would suggest i have been reading your intriguing post, thoughts and discussions for some time now.
around 3/4 months to be exact.. i guess to start with it would seem fitting to give a little background on my current situation.. i'm a born-in, but have over the last few years found that through a number of varying occurences, (some of which i may discuss in future posts) that my 'zeal' has gone from regular field service and meetings to no service in over a year and very sporadic meeting attendance.

Welcome lurkernomore!
Congratulations to you and your wife.
Best wishes on the journey to your new life of liberty and happiness.
Greetings
Fernando
PS - You should be fine if you're not struggling with delusions (like I did) that you can get the elders (Pharisees) to see what you see...

Welcome purrpurr!
Congratulations on being able to see that all is not well and on doing something about it.
Cowardice prevents many, but will ultimately consign them to Gehenna per Rev 21:8.
There are many great folks on JWN and you should be fine if you stay humble, avoid arguments like the plague, resolutely ignore the odd hater, and make allowances for those going through a really bad patch or those that occasionally have simply had too much to drink.
Believers also benefit from keeping it rather low key.
Greetings

A highly poisonous brown gel used by licenced pest controllers and placed strategically throughout the house has worked very well for us in several different homes we've lived in.
I cannot remember the name or active ingredient.

by smiddy incan you imagine what this world would be like today , with 7 billion people , if their were never , ever a religous concept in anybodys mind ?.
wouldnt this world be such a better place to be in if it was devoid of all religion ?.
if religion never existed from the time man/woman first walked the earth until now how do you see , pros or cons , how humakind would fare today.. as i said in my o.p.

From: http://mkaku.org/home/tag/telescope/
Quick — name the invention that has done most to redefine our place in the universe. Hint: This invention was also the most seditious, blasphemous instrument of all time, shaking the very foundations of society. The answer, if you haven’t already guessed it, is the telescope. Read the WIRED.com article “The Telescope: 400 Years and Counting”

I believe if we all had only ever been exposed to the liberating gospel, human society would have been very different and much better.

Who Really Profits from the WTBTS?
by Freedom77 inlike they say in the movies, "follow the money.
" the thought occurred to me the other day - the wt scam rakes in billions of dollars, and yeah some of that goes to operations and equipment.
but bethelites at farm and factory get only a bare little dorm room and a monthly pittance.

For me the ultimate hidden player is the god of religion who is desperate to hide the liberating gospel message from us.

Does anyone live by any Bible stuff?
by punkofnice inthis is not meant to be a slag off the bible thread.. i had a question asked me the other day and it was: 'do you live by anything from the bible?'.
i had to think about that one because i was force grown in the filthy, disgusting cult of the paedophile loving watchtower(r).. you know what?
i really don't know if i just naturally am a great bloke or if any 'nice' bits in the bible influenced me......or has western culture been influenced by the bible for good and bad?.

I have been greatly influenced and changed by focussing on the central message of scripture and the prophets, namely the relationship between two opposites - the liberating gospel, versus the bondage of religion.
