Some people never figure out most of life is "shades of gray." The "Ture Believer" sees everything in black or white because it requires little effort letting others do the driving. Getting off the bus and behind the wheel is for adults able to read the road map. I like the concept of your picture.

I think it's worth looking into. You could call it, The Watchtower and Me, by Norman Hovland (something like Roger and Me, by Michael Moore). Once you get the stuff together, find a publisher, you could offer advanced orders as seed money for the first edition. Your style and logical order comes across well for this type of material. Maybe the Tower would buy a few copies, too.

Yeah, I often do that. I'm dyslexic (really) and sometimes I get the horse before the cart. My spouse has a lot of fun with some things I say--but I usually get even.

How many of these topics do you have filed away? They're all great; I don't know which one I like most. Have you thought about putting them all together into a booklet or book? That's a serious question.

Flip brings up a good point, but replacing "human being" with "Christian" moves the definition from a religious concept and into abuse beyond religion. Thus "spiritual abuse" doesn't work in that setting because it goes beyond the definition of "spiritual." I'm not trying to pick at gnates in the wind, but do you see what I mean?
I like the term "spiritual abuse" because it describes what the Watchtower and similar groups do to members. Like Flip, I think another word should be used instead of "Christian," because spiritual abuse happens in non-Christian religious groups, too.
Substituting "personal beliefs" in place of "Christian" might work for the spiritual definition. BTW, what is the source of your quote? I have a book somewhere in the house that goes by that title.

Not only is DiStefano stupid, but a liar. She knows she was there to sell swill from the Tower, and find another pigeon to do the same. There, I feel better now.
some times the inconstancies and contradictions in the watchtower literature seems almost unbelievable.
the double standard of the watchtower writers seems to be without limit.. one of the explanations for this is that some watchtower articles deals with how jehovah's witnesses want to be perceived and how they want to be treated by society in general, and the contradictory articles deals with how the faithful and loyal witnesses should regard their enemies and outsiders.
in psalm 139 this is spoken of as a complete hatred.

In the late '60s to '75, the Tower encouraged young people to turn away from education, not to have families, and members to sell farms and property so they could work full time selling Watchtowers. All the while the Society was buying up Brooklyn, and anything else they could get their greedy little hands on.
