Well, well Know Nothing, I see the little cyber poster is getting to you. The only way you can dismiss the sting of truth presented by the poster is to ignore the facts. Suggesting others live in the same "fantasyland" like you doesn't help your case. You see, verifiable facts have a funny way of not lying. Of course you've never tried refuting the facts in the poster. I really didn't expect you to, so I'm not disappointed.

I agree some religious groups do some charitable works. I've helped at the soup kitchen our Unitarian fellowship operates. That doesn't mean everything we do as a Unitarian fellowship is charitable, just a few things. I believe that's true with most churches doing "good works." Churches should have to declare things that are "charitable works" like anyone else. Only documented items or work should be tax exempt, and the rest should be taxed like other businesses.
Of course, selling literature for the Watchtower is not charitable. If the Tower feeds the homeless in New York, the IRS could allow them to knock off a few dollars from the millions they owe in taxes.
I better fix another pot of coffee, you drank the last cup.

I think it's nearly impossible drawing a line between sects, cults, fundamentalists, etc. Obviously we know the harm Jehovah's Witnesses cause with family and medical issues, to name just a few. I believe religions have caused more harm than good when we examine long periods of history. I really wish all religions were required to have warning labels on their front doors stating: "WARNING--can cause HARMFUL BEHAVIOR to self and others!"
I also believe ALL religions should be taxed like any other business. If people want to join a country club that excludes and/or condemns others, most would be outraged. However, we reward religions for doing that very thing with tax breaks--go figure!
It's good seeing France and Moscow wising up to sects like the Watchtower, but why should religions have tax-free status if we condemn other groups acting as badly?

The "twirling emerald skull and bones" is not "nonsense," YK. That's the universal icon representing immediate danger or death. Has the Watchtower Society suggested anything but danger and death for any disagreeing with them? Like it or not, DESTRUCTION and DEATH is their message! The skull and cross bones is a better icon than the Society's tower. At least it's accurate compared to their tower of false hopes, and false dates.BTW, I see "AlanF Knows" cleaned your clock in the above post. As an old professor used to say, "It's a shame they don't know they don't know." Just wondering if you knew that, You Know?

I never get tired of seeing that graphic!!!
It's nearly impossible reasoning with people wearing blinders. You can argue, provide documentation and so forth, but there is none so blind as those who will not see. My little cyber poster shows some false predictions of the Tower, and their "sky is falling" drum beat. The Watchtower's efforts of looking respectable is nutty given the fact they look forward to God murdering all disagreeing with them.
There is little point in arguing with folks like You Know, because like the Watchtower, they see the world as an evil place awaiting God's execution. The sign reflects the obvious, and some simple facts, but obviously You Know can't see it. His profile image of a person with a patch over the eye is only half true--his image should show a blindfold over both eyes.
