The actual meetings were total sleepers -- can you imagine being on a cyber forum with these people?
"Good day brothers and sisters -- I just want to say how thankful I am to be part of Jehovah's loving Organization. As a pioneer and elder, it's so exciting finding the sheep in these last days, etc, etc, etc......"
Yeah--what a blast, sign me up! -

Have you ever been to an Apostofest or met JWD posters?
by JH in.
are you planning to go to an apostofest in the near future?

I've had two Apostofests at our home in Dayton, Ohio several years ago, and attended another in Columbus, Ohio. I've been to two large ex-JW gatherings, one in Chicago and the other in Waterloo, Ontario. I've met a few others that used to get together in Greenville, Ohio, and larc and his spouse live in the same area, and we met several times before the Internet. Doctor Bob came into town on business, and we had a great time while eating and drinking beer.

I'll try to show EM avatar below, but it might not work:

Yeah -- I wondered what happened to the old avatar, too. I thought EM was trying to be humble, thus the smaller avatar. However, it's so small I have no idea what it is--but maybe that's the point. :)

The Beautiful People...The Beautiful People..
by professor ini want to make a note on this board that the x-jw's are definately, in my book, beautiful people!.
perhaps it is because of the good things we have derived.
maybe it's the hardships.. either way, we are all beautiful here.. -lots of love from professor.

Yep -- kls is the best looking monkey that I've ever seen (oh, we're talking about "people"). :)
I've met several ex-JWs over the years, and have enjoyed each person. Not only do we share a common background, but I think our history has helped us to value questioning, which makes us interesting people. Former JWs who have looked beyond the bars of the Tower are beautiful people. -

Anyone recognise this 2005 Watchtower CD on Ebay?
by nicolaou in.
here's the link, you may have to cut & paste it into your browser; http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/ebayisapi.dll?viewitem&category=16710&item=5577875725&rd=1.
an individual mag' on a cd?

I didn't know that either. My word, it was bad enough having the mags laying around the house gathering dust, but I can't imagine listening to someone read The Watchtower.

If you won the Lottery big time, would you be happier?
by Rod P inhow many of us imagine winning the big one, and all our problems in life would be solved.
we could get whatever we wanted without worrying about money, could buy our way out of almost any situation (like the rich folks do), go on any vacation anywhere in the world, dress to the nines on a daily basis, and use our wealth to get others to do our bidding.. money = sex, power, influence, decadent luxury = happiness???.

In the spirit of found money, my father used to say, "Son, if you see a dollar laying on the ground, pick it up. There might be something of value under it."

As far as I know, there is only one thing money can't buy --poverty. :)
